Halloween has begun early...
I've had a lovely time this week creating orders and also finding some time to make some new crafty items. Of course being pagan I love Halloween, so its been very fun making a door hanger/sign and also some new Halloween stickers.
For the first time in a couple of years (years!!!) I am going to enter the sign/hanger into a challenge or two!
Entering into Tuesday Throwdown anything goes, Not Just Cards anything goes, and of course Mo's Challenge of anything goes using a mo image.
When i saw the fabulous Mo image of this fortune teller I couldn't wait to get her coloured up! I knew she would make a great 'fortunes told' sign. The papers I've used are some old basic grey eerie's. I added a lace bow and some buttons from my stash as well as some crystal accents in the corners. All the card edges are given a distressed look.

As well as the hanger I made these Vintage style Ouija stickers available to buy here in a set of 4.
I've also added the hanger to my etsy shop to purchase here as a one off piece.

Last days of Summer
It's been a wonderful Summer holiday with the kids-even though its always lovely when they go back too! And of course it's gone super quick. We've had some lovely time away and caught up with family and friends and generally had a lovely time.
Within all this me and Ian have also been running the shop and making orders etc. It's very difficult to juggle the two in the holidays. I know most people have childcare issues in the summer in one way or another but being self-employed with an at home business is certainly tricky in the holidays. But we managed it! And we've had some wonderful times.

Of course though I am so happy to be back into the studio properly now the kids are back and making some new designs. We have had a Summer Sale going on with 20% off all orders with code SUMMER2015 which will run till tomorrow as its Labor Day in the US. Here is a little preview of a Halloween hanger/sign I'm making right now-this plus another witchy one will be up in our shop this week.
Plus I'll be adding some new Halloween stickers soon and some pagan invites will be coming soon too. Speaking of Halloween I almost forgot to show you my new ink on my wrist/forearm....
Thanks so much for reading and I do love it when you manage to comment to say hi. Have an awesome Monday!

Following the Yellow Brick Road
It's been a while again....but 2015 has got off to a great start in the Craftypagan household. We've had some fun family trips including a short break over Easter at Blackpool which of course the kids absolutely loved!
This year has also been a time of reflection, especially spiritually. Before having the kids my spirituality was such a big part of my life, I even met Ian through a pagan website. But, time disappears when you're raising kids and especially since my back worsened with two pregnancies. The kids though, whilst still young-Isis has only just turned 3-are able to play themselves a bit-they're not so dependent and with that little bit of personal freedom comes some extra time.
I've been able to get back into reading a bit. Goddess worship and devotion was a big part of my path and I'm rediscovering myself and my path. I've just picked up Lisa Lister's book 'Code Red' and its fabulous!
I've been working on adding some new designs to the shop and as a huge huge fan of the Wizard of Oz I wanted to get some more Oz items created. And so I made these cute Wizard of Oz invitations.
and these Wizard of Oz Quote tags.
I've been thinking about getting a Wizard of Oz tattoo-I've been pinning some super cool ink on one of my Pinterest boards-you can have a peek Here.
So I'm going to be adding some different content on here and I realise lots of my original followers came because of my cardmaking etc so I hope you'll still continue to follow me but hey if not I understand. I plan on adding some pagan/spiritual posts, still be adding my etsy makes but adding etsy business posts, some wedding inspiration stuff, bit more about my life in general, maybe some fashion posts too.
This past week or so Summer has finally arrived in the UK. Isis hasn't been well recently which we think may have been down to her heart so she has been at home rather than nursery. This little pic was of her chilling in the paddling pool last week.
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Is Coming....
I still haven't gotten back into the swing of blogging. Ah well I shall keep on trying! So I wanted to blog today about Blog and Buy Sale which is a Blog that started 3 years ago and basically it supports designers and artists who sell their handmade work online. It's such a great resource and Craftypagan Designs featured on them way back when they started.
They've just published their Christmas Wishlist and it has so many fantastic products on there you could probably get most of your Christmas shopping done! These are a couple of my fave products:

Where did the time go?
It feels like ages since I last blogged, and in fact it Is ages! But I'm finally back working on my shop with Ian and feel like I'm back in the land of the living now that my little girl has now started nursery.
I'm looking forward to getting back to blogging-we might go in slightly a different direction but I hope you'll come along with me:)
Also I'm on Instagram now so if you want to follow me there I'd love it and I will follow you back too! http://instagram.com/craftypagan
Since I last blogged we have had a new addition to our family-Isis Rose who is now 2 years old. Her and Leo are adorable together! It has been a bit of a rough ride though and getting back to work has taken longer than usual. Isis was born with congenital heart disease, a particular defect called pulmonary stenosis and it wasn't discovered until she came down with a cold at 2 weeks old and during the check up my GP heard her very loud heart murmur and we got sent for tests. Ultimately she had to have heart surgery at 10 weeks to reduce the narrowing in her heart and it did work to the extent that if she hadn't of had it within a month or so she would have died and it has opened the valve up somewhat but unfortunately it isn't a total 'fix'. This pic of her was a few weeks after her operation.
She still has her heart problem which she will always have and we have regular check ups to see how the heart is functioning etc. and she could well have more heart surgery in the future. Her heart problem has also meant she has been poorly a lot and takes longer to recover than other children, and we just have to be really careful to watch how she is when she's poorly because things could worsen very quickly. There are lots of other elements to it but safe to say things have been difficult.
Isis September 2013
We are lucky though, there are so many other children with problems worse than her. The hospitals have all been great. All you can do is try and live in the moment as much as possible and get on with things.
Leo and Isis Summer 2013
It feels great now to be able to work on my shop etc and do something for me. I've started making some new bits and bobs. I really want to extend our Wizard of Oz section. So far I've managed to make this set of Wizard of Oz bookmarks.
Also I'm on Instagram now so if you want to follow me there I'd love it and I will follow you back too! http://instagram.com/craftypagan

SCACD Spotlight-Something A Bit Steampunk
Morning all! Fun post again for you today because as part of the Quixotic Paperie 2nd Anniversary celebrations this month, we are throwing the spotlight on some of the fantastic stamp companies in stock.
First in the spotlight are SCACD Stamps! I absolutely love the SCACD range-the different artists means there's something for everyone!
SCACD Stamps is run by the lovely Susana of Susana's Custom Art & Card Design in the US. TheSCACD Stamps range is available in the UK exclusively at Quixotic Paperie.
There are three fab artists in the current range from SCACD Stamps - Carmen Medlin, Elisabeth Bell and Victoria Case, each with a different style.
As part of the celebrations and the spotlight today, we have a PRIZE GIVEAWAY! Pop on over to the Quixotic Inspirations blog to get all the details and enter the draw to win some fantastic SCACD Stamps and more!
ALSO - until midnight on Sunday 12th June you can enjoy 10% off the SCACD Stamps range (does not stack with existing offers).
Now, on to the inspiration! Some of the Quixotic Paperie Design Team have SCACD creations to show you today, and we also have some special guests from the SCACD Stamps Design Team!
This isn't a hop - feel free to dip in and out of the list of designers in whichever order you fancy!
So as part of all this I decided to have a play with Carmen Medlin's image 'Naturally Styled'. This image was actually part of the new release and after seeing the image on the hop (original post here) I bought it immediately-with a few others!!
I used the fab Make it Crafty Chipboard Gears Galore which I inked and rubbed perfect pearls bronze onto. Here's a close-up:
I used the sketch over at Sketch and Stash-the stamp is new! I'm also entering over at A La Card Monkey who's theme is vintage. And Craft Your Passion-anything goes challenge, Crafts and Me-Stamp Something challenge, Anita B-Layer it On, Oldie But a Goodie-Layer it On.
