Puddles of Love

Morning everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the Easter weekend! Don't you just love Bank Holidays-especially when the weather's nice!

Anyways Elaine got the brand new Gorjuss girlies in and I had to grab a couple! I bought some prisma pencils just recently-the full set even, and thought it would be a good chance to use them but I went for the trusty copics instead!

I coloured the fab 'Puddles of Love' on kraft with my pens-gives a totally different effect-I love it! all the papers are from the Tim Holtz pad Vintage Shabby-my fave for sure out of all of em! Also Elaine has free p and p on orders over £30 over the bank holiday weekend so it's worth getting a few extra bits!

The flowers are made using some punches and they're embellished with Prima sequin centres-love these-am building quite the little collection!

I also managed to actually follow a sketch-it's been a while! I used the sketch over at Midnight Madness as I haven't played along over there for such a long time!

This card will be up for sale shortly in My Etsy Shop.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Altered Anya and Friends-Quixotic Challenges

Afternoon! Sorry I've been MIA this week but we're all a bit under the weather over here which is why I'm late with my Quixotic Challenge DT card:) The theme for the next 2 weeks is 'Altered Anya and Friends', basically we want you to alter your Greeting Farm stamps in some way. Amy Young one of the fabulous Greeting Farm DT has joined us a guest this time-afterall she is the queen of altering:) If you need some tips on how to alter your stamps check out Amy's tutorials:

As this challenge is a bit different you MUST use Greeting Farm images (can be digis from heretoo) and you have 2 weeks to get your entries in. Also there will be a top 3 showcase and the winner will receive a surprise embellishment gift worth £10 from Quixotic Paperie. That's a great prize right?! Plus you'll go into the monthly prize draw too-can't be bad!

So anyways.. onto my card! My altering is very subtle and is ideal if you're a bit unsure or afraid of diving straight into altering-I've added spots to Miss Anya's headband. I've gone for quite a simple design as well on this card, using the Sketch over at Midnight Madness and just adding some pretty Prima E-Line flowers:) I did add some Shimmerz in pixie dust to the flowers though! All the papers are from the gorgeous new Crate Paper collection called Pink Plum which Quixotic Paperie have started stocking. If you want to grab some of the lush lace I've used on my card check out the selection here-am addicted to using it at the moment! Am also entering this over at Cupcake Craft Challenge as their theme this week is flower power.

Here's a little close-up:~

Think that's it from me, hope to be back again this weekend! We're going to see Alice in Wonderland tomorrow night and I can't wait! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments:)

4 Days Later......

Evening everyone! 4 days later and I'm back with something to show! Has been a bit of an odd week for me which is why I haven't posted, haven't felt well (the germs from leo must have finally got me! hehe) and my creativity packed its bags and went on its hols well and truly taking my motivation with it! Not a nice feeling. In any case I think a little break has done me good, I think that creating every day-will force you into a break every now and then to recharge. I did miss everyone though! I think I am almost back to myself now!

I bought this beautiful Sugar Nellie stamp a couple of weeks ago and haven't had chance to ink her up yet and thought now was the time since I've been dying to use her! It's one of the 3 stamps brought out by Sugar Nellie for their It's A Girl Thing fundraiser-all proceeds of the sale of these stamps go 100% to Breast Cancer Fundraising-this image is donated by Leanne Ellis-one of my all time fave artists! I actually coloured her in using a mixture of distress inks and twinkling h20's and shimmerz. I also stamped her out twice so I could layer her up with some silicone glue but left the wings so it kinda looks like they're fluttering out of the card:)

I haven't played over at Midnight Madness for a few weeks but totally loved this weeks sketch the minute I saw it so had to have a go! I've used my sewing machine to do some wavy stitches around the square layers so it doesn't look too um square I guess! I don't do clean lines it seems do I?! Over at 3 Clovers they want us to Think pink as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so this is so perfect for this card!

Stuff:
  • Sugar Nellie stamp 'Cherub' available here while stocks last (very limited edition so get these now-they won't be restocked!),
  • MME Wild Asparagus papers, hero arts sentiment, lace and prima say in pearls all from quixotic paperie
  • Core'dinations cardstock, distress inks and twinkling h20's, sewing machine

Almost the weekend.....can't wait, I'm having a rare night out with my friend Michelle Saturday night...I wonder where I put my dancing shoes;) Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave me-they're very much appreciated! Huggles xxx

Evening lovely crafty bloggers! Hows your day been? All's good this end, been to Lincoln today to do a bit of shopping, pay some bills and I had to pop into the art shop to buy a few more copics to top my collection up! Slowly, slowly I'm getting there-buying a few copics here and there will slowly add up-I love em! I do like my Promarkers but I really wish I'd bought copics in the first place, ah well!

I can't believe I haven't posted since Monday, tis terrible blogging behaviour! lol. Well I have done some cards, on Tuesday night I had a card to do for my wonderful friend Michelle for her hubby but from her little boy (does that make sense?!) which I gave to her on Wednesday. Because I was a bit last minute making it I forgot to take a piccy! What a wally! Then last night I made my dt card for tomorrow, and well that brings us to today.

Can you tell I'm feeling bright? I just had to have a go with this little beauty from Sugarnellie! Dena, very kindly stamped her up for me as she keep selling out, I just keep missing out on getting her! These manga kids from Sugarnellie have been super popular, and you can see why can't ya! If you haven't checked out the sugarnellie blog you need to to see all the beautiful new stamps coming soon-including christmas manga kids! These are sooooo adorable, can't wait till they're released!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Is this week flying by or what?! I've combined a few challenges again (isn't it addictive?!) and have made something different today-a wallet card and a little gift holder. For the card I've used the sketch at Midnight Madness (I won the midnight masterpiece award this week-was so chuffed!), I've used the colour combo of pink, brown and cream over at Double Dutch. It also qualifies for Whimsy Challenges which want to see animals and am going to enter it for ABC challenge which is Anything Goes, Allsorts which is vintage, and Paperplay Challenges which is all creatures great and small. The gift holder was made from the previous Double Dutch challenge, very simple to make but really cute me thinks:).

Midnight Madness

My new SugarNellies arrived today-wohooo! So I've used this skateboarder for this weeks Midnight Madness challenge. I know lots of peeps don't like making male cards but I really have lots of fun making em! The papers I've used are all Kaiserkraft-they're ideal for boy/teenage cards. Now that I've finished this I think I'm gonna have to sort my sewing machine out-ugh. Yesterday Leo got his little mitts on it and I just caught him but I think he'd twiddled something or other as when I started sewing last night the bloomin needle broke!

Stuff: SugarNellie stamp-new Mary Hall collection coloured with Promarkers, Kaiserkraft papers, core'dinations cardstock, clear patterened strips from stash (I wish I knew who made these-I got em at a craft shop and chucked the box!), buttons from stash, raffia, dymo labelmaker.

I'm still waiting on my magnolia summer kit to arrive but my new guillotine arrived that Ian bought me-it's fab! It's an a3 Fiskars guillotine so pretty huge and super sharp-my old one was on its last legs! Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-they make my day! See yas tomorrow!
