Quixotic Challenges-Move It Move It!

Afternoon guys!! How's your weekend going? Everything's great here:) Had to come on and show you my DT card for Quixotic Challenges-was so fun to make-you'll have to go check out the other girlies work for the challenge-it's fab! So Kim (paperbabe) set the challenge this week and she chose 'move it, move it'-basically you need to have an element on your card that has movement-such as a tag you pull (like I did), a slider card, a spinner card etc:)

Last month I bought the fabulous Fred and Ginger stamp by Kraftin Kimmie and I've been eager to ink it up!! It also comes with a sentiment stamp that says 'love bites' hehehe. For my moving feature I added a pull out tag. The tag is actually one of my Vampire Blood tags available in My Etsy Shop. All the papers I used are Basic Grey Eerie from last year.

On the image after it had been coloured (with copics) I decided it needed something else so I popped some Crackle Accents on and went to bed. When I went to finish my card off I thought the crackle accents had gone off until after a while I realised I'd put matte accents all over it! Anyway I did a rescue by putting lots of rock candy crackle on:) Phew!

If you'd like to buy this card it is available Here.

Challenges Entered:

Shabby Tea Room: Tag You're It!
Simon Says Stamp: Holiday Fun
Sir Stampalot: Distress it

If you're after some new Christmas and Halloween goodies go check out all the fab new arrivals at Quixotic Paperie here.

Right, gonna go and crack on with some more work-thanks for stopping by!! Be back soon!!

Isn't this new horsey, Party Pony, just gorgeous?! So perfect for birthdays! Guest Designer Card for The Pixie Cottage!

Morning all! Hope you're day is going well so far-it seems plain hectic here but that's 2 year olds for ya! Now today I'm here to show you a card I made for the Pixie Cottage after a couple months ago the fabulous Michelle emailed me out of blue and asked if I'd be a guest designer for a month! I jumped at the chance-their stamps are so adorable and there's a real mix of styles too so I've had great fun playing with them:) If you haven't got any Pixie Cottage stamps yet you can buy them here:)
The challenge today at The Pixie Cottage is to Make Your Own Charm, there is also a sketch which you can follow too or you can use either or. Now firstly I pondered on using shrink plastic but in the end I went with creating a tag into a charm-hopefully that will give a few people some different ideas and will be able to play along. For my card I've used the gorgeous new Spring Hannah with Butterflies-isn't she sweet? Here's a little close-up:~

I've gone with quite muted soft tones using the Basic Grey Wisteria papers all distressed with antique linen. I've also followed the sketch at Create4Fun.

I'm also going to enter this at:
Creative Card Crew (April flowers bring may showers)
Charisma (girly card with flowers)
CCT-Make your own
Sentimental Sundays (someone special)
KL Stampin Scrappin (decorate inside as well as out)
Sir Stampalot Challenge (blossoms and buttterflies)

Well that's it from me today! Come back later for the new brand new Whimsy Digi Release hop! See you soon, and thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave xxx

Good afternoon everyone! Welcome to the Whimsy Digital Stamp Release Blog Hop! The new Whimsy digital stamp release is utterly fabulous and has exclusive designs by Crissy Armstrong, Katie Sowa and our own Ann Vento. If you've come from Ann's blog you're on the right track-if not then you'll want to start at the beginning at Crissy's blog! If you leave a comment at each stop you could win an awesome candy prize of a $15 certificate to the Whimsy store, Crissy's digital 'Pebbles the cat', Katies digi 'Aww so Tweet', Ann's Mothers Day sentiment and the Whimsy Princess Coach in digi. Fab prize isn't it!

So anyways, today I'm showcasing Crissy's fab turtle digi stamp called Hang in there-too cute right?! Such fun to colour too!

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Angels-Favourite things (flowers, stitching and the DCWV papers)
TSG-colour combo of lemon yellow, grass gren and aqua
Papercutz-3 patterned papers
Gingersnap Creations-the good earth
Simon Says-Card for a child
Magical Crafts-Animal Antics

All the papers I've used are DCWv The Green Stack (one of my faves!) and the cutie turtle is coloured with copics. The sentiment is from Ann's new digi sentiments which match the images perfectly! You can purchase all the new Whimsy digi's here, you'll get them. I'm personally not a big digi user but believe me when I say these are so super easy to use and resize, you'll get them in a zip file in 3 formats and are available instantly after purchase! Here's an image close-up:~

To err is human to purr is feline...Sneak Peek

That's a good quote isn't it! You've probably seen recently that Whimsy rubber stamps are adding a digital line to their collection? Well if you didn't then you can look forward to a week of sneak peeks from the Design Team (see my side panel for links) this week-the images are all fantastic and so in the Whimsy style! I had to use this beautiful kitty first! She's called Pebbles the cat and has been designed by Crissy Armstrong. This image isn't available to buy yet, but will be next Monday 12th April! The sentiment is also going to be available for purchase as part of the new digital line and all the sentiments are by our very own Ann.

Since this kitty is such a princess I had to go all pretty and pink! The papers are MME laundry line which are glittered and have also used Bazzill bling. This totally fits the Stamp Something theme this week as well as Sophisticats (raining cats and dogs), Charisma Cardz (animal magic) and Pollycraft (anything goes).
Here'a kitty close-up:~
For the layout I rotated the fab sketch over at Create 4 Fun. Well I think that's all from me today, keep your eyes peeled for more sneak peeks and I'll be back soon:) Thanks so much for popping by and for any comments you might leave!

I'll be popping this card into my etsy shop shortly;)

A Ride on the Whimsy Carousel

Back again! My favourite all time film has got to be Mary Poppins-I loved it as a kid and I still love it now so imagine how much I loved the new Whimsy carousel horses when I saw them! Fast forward a few weeks and I'm proud to say that I'm now designing for Whimsy Stamps:) When I got my dt package at the weekend I just had to start a project with these beautiful horses and decided to make an actual carousel! And here it is:~

I stumbled across this tutorial here and it became the inspiration for the making of the carousel though my measurements are different. I decided to go all vintage/distressed in sepia tones so I covered each piece I built with book pages that had been distressed with Tim Holtz inks. Before actually putting everything together I decided I wanted some shimmer to the project too so I spritzed everything in Shimmerz treasured hymn then applied tons of perfect pearls in copper. The gorgeous carousel horses are coloured in sepia tones with copics.

I added Shimmerz blingz in gold glimmer to the saddles:~

I bought some gorgeous Magnolia flowers from Clare's shop in town which I thought would go perfectly. I added some extra Shimmerz to them too:)

The beads were also from Clare.

I think this project fits in perfectly with the current Simon Says challenge which is so distressed! Also going to enter at Pile it on who want to see animals as does Charisma Cardz, Sir Stampalot who have a fantasy theme, and By The Cute and Girly who has a fairytale theme this month. If you want to purchase these or other Whimsy stamps go here or if you live in the UK you can grab them at Quixotic Paperie here.

Think that really is it from me today now! Thanks so much for popping by and I really appreciate your comments, and always try to come visit you back too:)

Sweet November Doorhanger-For the Girls

Morning all! Hope you're enjoying a lovely relaxing Saturday morning! I've been working on this wooden doorhanger for the past 2 evenings, and so enjoyed making it, it's so pretty and girly! I just adore Amy's Sweet November fairy's, this one is called 'Sparkle Thistleweed'-what a fab name! I do love my images to have some real character and these fairys have tons of it! I love working with them!

I bought some handcut wooden doorhangers a week or so ago especially to make some sparkly pretties:) I've coloured 'Sparkle' with my copics, used my clear copic atyou spica pen all over the hair to add sparkle, added shimmerz gold glimmer over the dress and applied a generous coat of Glossy Accents all over the image to provide a bit of sturdiness. Here's a close up:~

All the papers I used are from the new Crate Paper pack called 'Pink Plum' available from Quixotic Paperie here. After covering the hanger with the papers I applied some Distress Crackle Paint in picket fence to all the edges then went over them with worn lipstick distress ink. I used a few scraps to make the lollipop flower below and added some more Shimmerz to the edges then attached a glittery brad to secure. To accent the lollipop flower I also used the bazzill bling templates to add some bling-they're so easy to use!

I used some pale pink roses from my stash and glittered them up with some Stickles which you can see below. Isn't the lace just lush! I absolutely love it, in fact I'm getting quiet addicted to it-you can check out the range here, but I used fuschia and orange.

I'm adding this girly glittery doorhanger to my Etsy Shop to find a new home to sparkle in:)
Here's another yummy flower close-up:~

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

Charisma Cardz-something for the kids-this is perfect for little girls and grown up girls alike:)
Stamp Something-Distressed Something-I used distress inks and distress crackle paints and paper distressing on the lollipop flower.
My Time To Craft-Lovely Lace

Well I think that's about it for now! Enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today and for any comments you leave-love hearing from you!

Sweet Easter Bunnies

Evening friends! Happy St Patricks Day! It was Leo's 2nd birthday today so it's been a full packed day this end as we had a party this afternoon-we're still nibbling on bits of party food! At the minute Leo's in a Fireman Sam phase so most of his toys he got were Fireman Sam themed-all noisy too;) Anyways, so it's been lots of fun here but that's lets get on with the card:)

Elaine sent me the adorable CC Designs Sweet November Baby Bunnies and ever since I first saw Amy Young previewing them I fell in love with them-they're sooooo cute right-although I do feel that way over all her stamp designs-I just plain love her style!!! It was so lovely making a proper spring themed card with all the lovely fresh spring colours. I used a mix of the gorgeous new BasicGrey Green at Heart 6 x 6 papers and the equally yummy BasicGrey Kioshi 6 x 6 papers. If you haven't got either of these new paper pads I urge you to get em-they really are gorgeous! All of the papers have been inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in spiced marmalade. Recently I treated myself to some Retro punches and they had their first outing on this card:) All papers/card have been stitched with the sewing machine. For all your Spring and Easter cards you can't do much better than this fab sentiment set by Amy R and a bargain at £6.25.

Here's a little image close-up of this darling Bunny (coloured with copics):~

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

ASOS-Easter
Simon Says-Touch of Green
Creative Inspirations- Colour combo-Green, white and yellow

From The Heart-Quixotic Paperie DT

Evening friends! Hope you've had a lovely weekend! We just got back this afternoon from my dads, and we've had a lovely time:) Just finished this card tonight using all the lovely goodies from Quixotic Paperie.

Don't you just love this image?! I'm going to use her again and again-so versatile and she was gorgeous to colour! It's a good job she was actually as this was my 3rd colouring attempt after Leo added his own 'artwork' to the other two. In fact he also did to this one and I had to alter the image a bit by giving her an extra piece of dress! She's called Isabella and you can grab her here, great price too me thinks:) All the papers are from an MME paperkit which you can buy here.

As luck would have it this card fits nicely into a few challenges:

Stamp Something-Girly Somethings
Simon Says Stamp-Girly or Mothers Day
Alphabet Challenge-S for Stamping
Tuesday Taggers-Swirls and Curls sponsored by Crafty Individuals

Here's an image close-up:~

You can't see well on the picture but I used my spica pen to add sparkle to the wings and in real life it is nice and sparkly! For even more sparkle I used some of the gorgeous Prima crystals. Well think that's about it from me! Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you might leave-love reading them! xxx

Big Sneak Peek!

Evening guys! Hope you're week is going well! Been a bit of a funny one here, really busy and Leo has been on and off with the teething bless him. Anyways got something exciting to show you today! The Sugar Nellie design team has got their hands on the new Mary Hall stamps which will be released in a couple of weeks but let me tell ya they're all so gorgeous! Totally different from her previous designs! So keep your eyes peeled for other peeks from the DT and the blog for the release date!

I've coloured this cutie in with copics and added Shimmerz in gold glimmer to her wings, flowers and the butterfly. All the paper is Basic Grey Urban Prarie-doesn't come out often as I find it tricky to get hold of! The gorgeous pink flowers are from here with some Stickles in stardust around them. The butterflys are made using my new Martha Stewart punch, and again I've added some stickles to accent them. Here's a close up:~

I'm going to enter this over at Sketch Saturday-lovin this weeks sketch-am a fan of all the layers! I think layers seem to 'going out' though right now, anyone else noticed that? Am also going to enter it at Flutterby as they have an open theme as long as there are wings of some kind! Well that's it from me tonight, hopefully I will be back tomorrow, otherwise it will be early next week as we're visiting family over the weekend. Hope the weather's nice! Thanks so much for stopping by today and for any comments you leave-they mean a lot! xxx

Partners In Crime

Morning everyone! Hope your enjoying a lovely Saturday morning! Me and Leo have been up bright and early, I feel like I could do with a little nap now! Leo's going through a Fireman Sam phase, he's absolutely mad on it, and I already feel a bit Fireman Sammed out already this morning:) I think we'll do some painting later, and we've got cakes to finish-they need icing after being baked yesterday afternoon. So that's my plans:) What you upto?

I told you I was loving the New Diane Duda digi stamps right? She has such an originality in her illustrations, and she really captures something special, especially in these boy stamps that have just been released. This card I've made features 'Boys Will Be Boys', how cheeky do they all look?! I've used a mix of 'boy papers' from Basic Grey Archaic collection and MME Abbey Road. I've kept the embellies to a minimum this time with some buttons and some raffia lace, so the focus remains on the image:)

I've followed the fab sketch over at Papertake Weekly-love Dawny P's sketches! Am also going to enter this at the Secret Crafter who wants to see stitching, and Paper Sundaes who want to see distressing. Here's an image close-up:

Well that's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-I love reading them! Have a great weekend! xxx

You're a Treasure!

Evening friends! How's everyone today? Good I hope! If not then at least the weekend is nearly here! Since it's Friday tomorrow we'll be off to playgroup which means Leo will be worn out enough for a nap unlike today! When he doesn't have a nap he becomes a terror-which is why I spent an hour and half cleaning black Sharpie marker off my white living room door this afternoon!!! He really got good coverage too, is funny now but this afternoon not so much:)

Anyways....the new Diane Duda digi stamps are here! They are soooo fabulous too-which is what we expect from Diane and Sugar Nellie right? You can grab them here, and of course you don't have to wait for mr postie to deliver-instant gratification:) I decided to use 'Flower Fairy' first, isn't she fab! Since she's such a fun image, I had to use my lovely bright and colourful MME Love Me Do papers. Elaine sent me the red iridescent pearls-they go really well with my colour combo me thinks and they're sooo pretty! I love these cute little ladybug charms, Elaine has got soooo many charms in her shop so go have a little gander.

Here's an image close-up:~
I did actually follow a sketch for the layout over at Whimsical Wednesdays, and am also going to enter it at Crafty Creations who want you to cut it out and pop it up which I did with the image and some help from my silicone glue. Practical Scrappers want to see stamps so this works too:) Am also going to enter at Totally Stampalicious who want to see glitter/bling (I used Shimmerz in pixie dust on the wings).

So what are your weekend plans? Anything nice planned? I think it'll be quite a quiet one here, as quiet as can be expected with a 2 year old anyways, but next weekend me and Leo will be going to visit my Dad up in Darlington which will be fun! Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments you leave-I really love hearing from you and I try my best to come visit you back! Hugs xxx

There are such fun boy stamps in there, totally different from any of the others! Can't wait to get colouring with them! Anyways...I went off a bit there!

For the layout I was inspired by the uber talented Elaine. I love how clean her cards are, and her colouring is always so amazing, am definitely not in her colouring league but I think this layout works well for this baby card! I've used the fab MME Star Bright paper pack which you can buyhere. On the cloud I used some Shimmerz Paints in Pixie Dust (on sale as well atm!) which you can see better in this close-up:~

Sugar Nellie Blog Hop!!! Come join in the Fun!!

Afternoon friends! What a gorgeous day it is here too:) If you've come from Marlene's blog you're on the right track, if not start at the beginning at the Sugar Nellie blog so you don't miss anyone out, and don't miss any chances to win some sugary sweet candy:)

The Sugar Nellie hop theme today is dusting off our old favourites Sugar Nellies, and I've used this fab Mary Hall stamp called 'Boys Up A Tree' which you can buy here if you don't win one from my draw:)

Since we've moved house I've been wanting to make a door hanger for Leo's room and thought this would be the perfect opportunity:) I used a wooden hanger I've had in my 'ready for altering draw' for ages! I covered it in strong adhesive then applied the Basic Grey Recess paper and filed down the edges. I've added some raffia and some chipboard buttons by Cosmo Cricket. No idea where the ribbon came from, it's been in my ribbon box for at least a year!

Here's an image close up:~

I've coloured the gorgeous Mary Hall image with copics and used distress ink in frayed burlap around the edges, then stitched around it with my sewing machine. Want to win this stamp? Karen has generously given all the dt candy in the form of the stamp they used on their hop creations today. All you have to do is leave a comment on my post. I will pick a winner from the comments that I like most:) You have until midnight GMT this Sunday to get your comments in and complete the hop! Winners will be revealed on Monday!

Your next stop on the hop is Sarah.

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments! Good luck with the draws and Have fun! xxx

Before all the hopping fun, I've made this card with the new Manga stamp by Sugar Nellie called 'Coffee Time'. I think from what I've seen around blog land this is probably the favourite of the new Mangas-think it's mine too but I change my mind everytime I ink something up! I've coloured her with copics and used my yummy new Basic Grey Sugar Rush papers. I also used my new Prima Holiday Lights Poinsettas- aren't they gorgeous? Elaine at Quixotic Paperie has got tons of new goodies in stock including all the new Prima releases, check em out here.

Here's a close-up:~

Snow Angel

Evening friends! Is it chilly where you are? Tis here, and we've been having snow on and off all week, oooo I'll be glad when spring is here!

I'm still using the fabby new Mary Hall Winter stamps available from Funkykits here, and decided to make this one my first Christmas card of the year! I remember the big rush I had on in December and if I can do a couple a month then maybe it won't be so manic;) That's the plan anyway!

I've used 'Snow Angel' for the main image-love this one! I used some Cosmic Shimmer iced crystals for the snow and all the rest of the sparkle on the card is from Shimmerz blingz paint in pixie dust which is on offer right now at 15% off-perfect time to try it if you haven't yet or stock up! All the papers are Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly-just love this stack!

Here's an image close-up:~

The layout of the card is from the sketch over at Papertake Weekly by the fab Dawny P-I do love her sketches! I'm also entering this over at the Design Dollies, they've got a yummy colour combo of kraft, ivory and green.

Well that's it from me guys today. Friday tomorrow-wohooo! Got anything nice planned this weekend? Thanks for popping by and for any comments you might leave me-I really appreciate it!

Quixotic Challenges-Tag!

How can it be Wednesday already?! This week is flying by, not long till the weekend! Hope everyone is doing ok, we're all a little under the weather here with a cold but on the mend now I think:)

Today at Quixotic Challenges, Carole has set the challenge of incorporating tags into your creation. Nice fun one! I decided to turn the sentiment into a tag and wrap it with tulle and attach to the main tulle ribbon. This card nearly didn't turn out at all, I coloured her in 3 times, dropping ink on the image once and then dropping 2 copics on it the 2nd!

I've had this gorgeous Belles and Whistles stamp 'Tania Baking' which is available to buy here for ages and haven't gotten round to inking her up-so bad isn't it! I've gone really simple with the layout and used some Basic Grey papers and Bazzill bling. The tulle is available here. Ooo I went a bit mad with the Prima gems, for me anyway-I kinda like to make a sheet do about 5 cards usually but it does look pretty when there's a few big swirls doesn't there!

Well that's it from me today, bit of a quick post but need to get some lunch sorted! Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you might leave for me!

But anyways...still busy playing with my Sugar Nellie dt kit, and this time I've used Isla, she's so sweet isn't she! She's coloured using copics (just for a change)! I also used the lush new papers by Basic Grey called Origins which you can grab here. The layout is from the fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers and am also going to enter it over at Pile It On who want to see anything but Winter, Cute Card Thursday whose challenge is called blooming gorgeous and Creative Card Crew whose challenge is 'punch it' (I used a MS punch).

Here's a little image close up:~

This gorgeous girly is one of the fab new Manga stamps called Bloom and Grow. She's so fun to colour-I just love the manga stamps cos you can go as bright as you fancy and in January I think we need a bit of a colour!

For the layout I've used the gorgeous sketch over at Sketch Saturday, am also going to enter it over at Dutch Dare who want to see Summer in Winter.

Stuff: Bloom and Grow stamp by Sugar Nellie, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers, sizzix die, button from stash, bling, copics to colour, bazzill bling cardstock, sewing machine.

So hows your weekend been? Been a nice quiet one here, went out today to the local garden centre to see if I could find any crafty bargains, but there was none to be had!
