Tea Party

Morning guys! I had hoped to post this last night but I just didn't get round to it-was so aiming for a post a day this week! Ah well! Since everyone seemed to really like my Alice in Wonderland Tag Sets I decided to have a play and make some little place cards-and well its just plain fun to make something different for a change!

I made a set of six, 2 of the mad Hatter, 2 of Alice and 2 of the Red Queen. These are available to buy here incase anyones interested;) By the way obviously people are having little Alice in Wonderland themed parties-if you're having one can you invite me please! Wouldn't it be fun! I think these will work for the Simon Says Challenge which is going to the movies-my movie being Alice in Wonderland and Sir Stampalot Challenge where the theme is fantasy.

Here's a card I made too-I don't think I've ever really made a card that I haven't coloured-at least not with a stamp-hmmm well not for ages and ages anyways! So quick to make-stamp-ink-stitch-done as Gordan would say!

Me and Leo have been up very early this morning but mr postie was very early too and he had a nice parcel for me with some goodies to alter, a new distress ink, some new paints, bits and bobs so hoping to have a play tonight when Leo's tucked up in bed:) Hope you have a wonderful weekend-the sun is shining here right now so lets hope it stays that way:)

P.S. Anyone is un the UK watching 'over the rainbow' on Saturday nights? I love it!

Penguin Love

Hi guys! I've been gone a few days huh, didn't intend to be at all but things have been all go over here, we could be moving house end of the week, all very exciting! With that going on I haven't been able to settle to craft, too jittery, and we've had the in laws over for the weekend too so was also busy cooking and stuff-lovely weekend though:) But I have now managed a card!

When my Sugar Nellie DT stamps arrived a few weeks ago I got this adorable Diane Duda stamp, called 'Penguin Love'. Totally appropriate name me thinks! I love penguins! I've coloured the adorable pair with my copics and used some Cosmic Shimmer iced jewel crystals for the snow and then stitched around the image on my sewing machine.

Stuff: Penguin Love by Diane Duda for Sugar Nellie available here, copics, sewing machine, Cosmo cricket jolly by golly paper available here, MME Love Me Do papers available here, wooden snowflake here, shimmerz paint in angel wings to paint wooden snowflake here, bling from stash, stampendous sentiment, ribbon from stash, bow easy template here.

Here's a little close-up:~
A lot of the products I used from Quixotic Paperie are actually on sale right now till midnight tonight at 10% off as the discount is on all Prima, Cosmo Cricket and MME products so do check it out! Also Elaine is offering a HUGE 15% off all Martha Stewart punches (including all the new ones-around the edge etc) so now's the time to stock up and on Spellbinders the same discount applies!

The layout of the card is courtesy of the fabulous sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Loved it! I'm also going to enter this over at Simon Says Stamp as they want to see animals this week, KL stampin and Scrappin who want to see snowflakes, and caardvarks who want us to 'colour it'

Well that's it from me! Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-I love hearing from you!

Evening everyone! Hows your week gone? Not long till the weekend! Wohooo! I've made a really fun card to show you this evening!

I got the delicious DCWV Green Stack recently and decided today I'd stroked it enough and was time to play! The first thought when seeing the papers was that this adorable Whimsy Owl would just go perfectly-I think this owl is just the coolest owl image ever! The layout for the card is from Simon Says Challenge-tis Heidi's birthday today (Happy Birthday Heidi!!!) and there's a special prize for this weeks winner (I live in hope!). Am also entering this over at A Spoonful of Sugar as their theme this week is distressing, Practical Scrappers whose theme is stamps and Whimsy Challenges-they're theme is 'touchy feely' and over at Pollycraft Monday they want to see our animal creations!

Stuff: Whimsy Owl available here coloured with copics, DCWV The Green Stack available here (and on sale atm!), core'dinations cardstock, sewing machine, jute ribbon available here, mcgill and xcut flower punches, woodware grass punch, spacers available here, bling from stash, tim holtz distressing tool, distress ink in broken china.

Did you notice the cute clouds? They're actually from the Green stack too-that paper is such a fun collection-I just cut it out and went crazy with the silicone glue. hehe. Well that's it from me today, and I'll be back tomorrow with the my Stamp Something dt card so please come back and see me! Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you might leave-I love reading them and it makes me feel like i'm not just waffling onto myself! Huggles xxx

P.S. I mentioned earlier that I have 2 brand new copic ciao pens in light grape and green gray that are duplicates that I'd like to swap if you have any duplicates-just email or leave a comment otherwise I guess I'll pop em on ebay so I can get some newies. Thanks!

Winter Wishes

Evening everyone! Hows your weekend going? Mine's been good so far, apart from yesterday when me and my friend Michelle took to the kids out for the day and things all got a bit dramatic! In the afternoon Leo suddenly out of nowhere started walking oddly on his right leg like then he wouldn't walk at all-not like him-he'd much rather run around than be carried! After a little bit when it still hadn't improved I took to him to A and E, they examined him and everything and his temp was up as well. So...the consultant decided we needed to go to a bigger hospital as he thought there might be fluid on his hip and a temperature is a symptom of it so off we went-was really worried by this point! When we got to the next hospital and after more examinations and more doctors it was decided it wasn't a hip problem, and actually he was ok-just a bit of a bug and by this point he was walking ok after being given medicine and off we went home! He's pretty much fine now, thank goodness and no walking problems so who knows what the leg thing was about! Its such a guessing game when they can't communicate enough to tell you what the matter is!

Anyways...I have a card to show ya! I got this cutie stamp about a month ago but was waiting for some lovely christmas papers and now I've got some newies decided it was time to ink her up! Also time to start cracking on with the chrismas/yule cards! There seems to be a few challenges this week who are encouraging us to do just that so this card works for Simon Says Challengewho want to see christmas creations, winter wonderland who want to see home featured in christmassy creations (there's sweet little houses on the paper I've used), Dutch Dare also want to see Christmas Creations as do Creative Card Crew. The layout of this card is courtesy of the fabulous Kellie's sketch challenge-you should defo pop over there as you could win 3 adorable motivet stamps!

Stuff: Motivet stamp 'doraline bundled up', mme papers 'merry days of christmas', pearls and bead cap from the Elaine at Quixotic Paperie, ribbon from stash, sewing machine, mcgill and x cut punch, core'dinations card

Ooo almost forgot to ask you guys-I need to make an engagement card for my step brother and his now fiancee-any image ideas? Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might leave me-they make my day! Enjoy the rest of your evening! Huggles xxx

At last...

I'm back with something to show you, I missed everyone! I've been working on a coupla dt cards which is why I've been away a couple of days....there'll probably be a flurry of posts from me soon hehe. Hows everyone doing? I've had a busy week...out and about, visitors, my niece coming to stay...lots going on...all fun things though!

My Magnolia Summer stamp kit arrived this week! Phew that was abit of a wait! So I had to ink this little cutie up first, I think she's my fave! I've used the sketch at The Pink Elephant, added lace which means it can be entered at Dutch Dare, Scrappy Frogs wanted to see a Magnolia stamp, and Colour Create has the theme of orange, pink and green, and Simon Says wanted to see distressing! I had to combine some challenges to catch up with what I've missed this week! Telling ya though, being on the dt for Pile It On kinda makes me want to combine all the time, it becomes a bit of a habit!

Stuff: Magnolia tilda summer kit coloured with copics, mme bloom and grow papers, bloom and grow decoupage pad, lace and bling from stash, core'dinations card, distress inks in antique linen and vintage photo, hero arts sentiment.

I really want to say thank you so much for all the lovely comments you've left me recently, your support really means a lot, truly....I need to come visit quite a lot of people soon...will catch up soon definetly!

I'll be back tomorrow for sure to show you my first dt card for Stamp Something so pop back see me won't you:) Love and huggles to all:)

A Gorjuss Simon Says Sketch

Good morning everyone! Firstly, thank you sooo much for the lovely words you've left me about my new design team position for Sugarnellie! I'm still on cloud 9!

Today I've got a Simonsays sketch entry for ya, with one of my fave gorjuss girlies-it's such a versatile image. I also saw recently on Suzanne's website (the super talented lady who designs all things gorjuss!) that a few really hardcore gorjuss fans had got this image tattooed on them, and lovely it looked too! Anyways...I've done a fair bit of distressing on this card with my distressing tool, but scissors can achieve the same effect. I've also done some more paper tearing-really into doing this atm!

Stuff: Sugarnellie stamp-Gorjuss girl coloured with Letraset Promarkers, all papers are k and co, distress inks (colours=vintage photo, antique linen), core'dinations cardstock, martha stewart heart punch, hero arts sentiment, prima flowers, buttons and pearls from elaine at quixotic (her service is outstanding btw), cuttlebug with nesties, raffia and crocheted lace from stash.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and its Friday so the weekend is nearly here-wahoo! I'm taking Leo to the beach today with my friend and little boy so should be lots of fun! Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might leave-they make my day!

P.S. To celebrate my design team position I'll be offering candy real soon!

Summery Tilda and a few challenges

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I've gone all summery today and used this cutie Tilda and some gorgeous cherry papers to match her. The theme over at Simon Says Challenge this week is summer fruits or summer colours and since I still live in hope of winning a $25 shopping spree at their store I had to play along again! I've also followed the sketch at Pollycraft monday which has just opened their challenge blog to include any images *doesn't have any sweet pollycraft stamps to play with yet*, their theme is also food and drink and since this Tilda has cherries on her boots and I have some on the papers I think that qualifies! Over at our Creative Corner their challenge this week is called 'triple play' and they give you a list of embellies to pick 3 from-I've chose buttons, ribbon (raffia) and bling. Also...Just Magnolia want us to use buttons. Phew!

Stuff: Magnolia Tilda coloured with promarkers, hotp papers, core'dinations card, raffia and buttons from stash, prima flowers, sentiment from part of a forever friends stamp, prima bling, distress inks.

Leo's little backpack arrived yesterday and he spent a lot of the day carrying it round and putting stuff in it and zipping it up-so sweet! I'll pop a proper pic up of him later when I've uploaded em as they're on me phone. I ordered a couple of Motivet stamps the other night-they're so adorable I just had to have some so hopefully they'll arrive soon! Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might leave me-they make my day! Huggles xxx

Simon Says...Happy Birthday!

Over at Simon Says Stamp they're celebrating their Birthday so asked us to make birthday cards. There's a fun blog hop going on too with goodies so pop on over. I've used this cutie SugarNellie stamp by Mary Hall-how sweet is she holding the tray of cupcakes?! Those cupcakes look sooo yummy right now. I've been at the BasicGrey Bittersweet papers again too-but I do so love them! I think this little lady is really versatile-I was either going to go with bright fun colours or sweet pinky ones but the pinks won:) Here's what I used:

Materials: Sugarnellie stamp coloured with promarkers, BasicGrey Bittersweet papers, core'dinations cardstock, tim holtz distressing tool, sanding file, lace from stash, prima flowers, pm brads, whiff of joy sentiment

Hope everyone's having a lovely day so far:) Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-they make my day!

Simon Says Tim Holtz and Stamp with Fun-Not a Card!

A really fun project to show you today! I went mental with my distress inks and all my fun things that are tim holtz! I made this box from a SplitCoastStampers tutorial here. If you haven't been over there you really should, their forums are just jam packed with super cool stamping stuff! Even if you're not good at making boxes and bags and stuff I promise you'll find this easy. I'm entering this over at the Simon Says Challenge (use any Tim Holtz products) and the Stamp with Fun (not a card). I used about 5 stamps on this box only one of which wasn't Tim Holtz-and I've used a ton of distress inks:). Just to clarify ALL the images you can see have been stamped! For the filler inside I used rafia and outside to tie I used some twine. I was gonna use this as a gift box but I've decided to keep it:) It's an ideal little gift box though isn't it! So here's what I used:

Materials: Basic Grey cardstock 12 x 12 urban prairie, chipboard, distress inks in peeled paint-tattered rose-walnut stain-black soot-tea dye, Tim Holtz stamps, hero arts french letter background stamp, raffia and twine from hardware shop.

Hope everyones had a lovely day! Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave which truly make my day to hear your feedback! See yas tomorrow!
