Baby Girl

Hi everyone, hope your week is getting off to a good start! Everyone is slowly getting better here so will probably be having another quiet day today but me and Leo have got some fun things planned later on in the week. I ordered him a cute elmo backpack and elmo toy the other day as he has this large tickle me elmo toy which he loves and he tries to carry him about but he's quite heavy so i think he'll love these newies, am hoping they arrive today or tomorrow-along with my bloomin Magnolia summer kit! I'll have to show you a pic of Leo with his new rucksack on, I think he'll look super cute!

Anyways...I have a card to tell ya about! I've made this card as a while back I mentioned that quite a few of my friends are preggers right now so am trying to get a few baby cards ready. It's such an exciting and special time when a new baby is born-I think these Elisabeth Bell images from whiff of joy convey the tenderness so perfectly. The challenge at Whiff of Joy this week is to use piercing on your creations so I've pierced around the nesties frame and the sentiment which I think is just perfect for baby cards. I've also followed the sketch at Stamp Something by Denise which is another fab one and really versatile too iykwim.

Stuff: Whiff of Joy stamp coloured with promarkers, nesties, cuttlebug, buttons and lace from stash, prima flowers, MME wild asparagus papers, 7gypsies paper, martha stewart doily lace punch, raffia, distress inks (antique linen and vintage photo), hero arts sentiment

Thanks for stopping by today and any comments you might leave-they make my day!

Friday Sketchers....and more!

Evening everyone! Ooo another hot hot day! I saw that the new Magnolia stamp club has started shipping! Wohooo! I've had a lovely relaxing day today-been in the hairdressers for 3 hours so feel much better now-my pink is all lovely again and I've caught up with all the celeb goosip from the magazines-never get chance to read them these days-too busy stamping!

My card today is for a few challenges-firstly Friday Sketchers-I only just realised I hadn't played yet and it is one of my faves. I've used turquoise and brown which is the challenge at Stamp with Fun, and Stamp Something would like to see at least 3 embellies and as you can see I used some bling and buttons. I've used another of my new whiff of joy lovelies-maybe this is my new fave-it reminds me of the first time I held Leo:)

Stuff: Whiff of Joy stamp coloured with Promarkers and woj sentiment, Basic Grey Two Scoops paper, core'dinations card, Martha Stewart punch, Prima flowers, Prima crystals, buttons from stash, distress inks.

I've changed my background again-I think I actually like this one and it goes with my banner the best me thinks. Off to watch Big Brother! Huggles

Stamp Something Tim Holtz stylee

Afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is well today! Lovely weather still isn't it, little Leo is toddling around in his shorts and vest-he looks soooo cute!

Over at Stamp Something this week the challenge is Black, white and one colour. My colour option is green as you can see. Lots of fun making this-i do so love my Tim Holtz products:) The backing paper is actually newspaper-I found an old newspaper online which I printed out, sponged some distress inks (vintage photo and tea dye) on it then stamped in distress ink (peeled paint) a Tim Holtz harlequin stamp all over. The main image is another Tim Holtz stamp which I stamped in distress ink black soot then cut out-how cool is the image! I got me dymo label maker out again-I saw an article recently in the new scrapbook inspirations mag about this cool little tool and apparently there's a whole website dedicated to label art so I am gonna check that out soon and give some new techniques a try using different materials instead of the traditional label materials. Here's my list of materials:

Stuff I used: Tim holtz stamps 'dream a little dream' and 'harlequin', distress inks in black soot, peeled paint, tea dye and vintage photo, raffia, papermania regency pack, core'dinations cardstock, distressing tool by tim holtz, sanding files, star brads from stash, dymo label maker, nesties, embossing folder and cuttlebug.

Hope you likey! Thanks for stopping by and any comments you might leave-they make my day and well they let me know you've visited so I can visit you back!

Stamp Something and Ebay Puzzlement

Todays card is for the Stamp Something challenge, which I love and it's from a sketch. I actually really love the simplicity, lovely change from millions of layers. I've made it for my step-bro's birthday next week, I think he'll really like it. Was a great excuse to use this Mary Hall stamp which is just fabby from sugar nellie (did you guess they're my faves. LOL). Also got the white gel pen out after I'd coloured with my promarkers, am quite pleased how its turned out. The papers are Basic Grey and I know their challenge this week is 'your favourtie ice-cream colours', now if my fave was chocolate and pistachio it would be ideal but since it's not I'm not going to enter it! I Hate pistachio!

Materials: 'Best Fishes' Stamp by Mary Hall for Sugar Nellie, Basic Grey Archaic Papers, Doodlebug brads, ccsr sentiments, BoBunny ribbon, Core'dinations cardstock and distress inks.

Now I know I said I was going to be back yesterday after my first post but my nesties arrived and I decided I'd have a go at decorating one of the insides of my card-well I loved it so much I had to all the cards in my posession (or make or a bloomin good start anyway) so I got quite busy doing that. Also I made a little something for hubby as it's his birthday on Monday-I will take a pic of it after I've given it to him as he does read my blog and will spy it!

Ok, so my ebay puzzlement.......have you checked out the Magnolia, or Sugar Nellie stamps on there recently? It really is quite mental....people are bidding double the price for them when they are in stock online at like funkykits or sirstampalot etc. What's it all about? There was a tilda on yesterday (the one with a baking tray of cookies), now it was used as well and I messaged the seller and asked would she do a buy it now and what price at and she said she wanted £8.00. Now come on! I've seen the gorjuss girl stamps go for crazy prices-one went for like £18! Is it people who are new to crafting and don't know where to buy them or what? It just seems all very crazy.

Ok ebay rant over! Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you like my card!

Goth anyone?

Reason I've not posted anything is because I seemed to have misplaced my mojo or at least it went on a little holiday. But I have actually decided it's because as much as I love cute adorable images it's not really my personality so I obviously needed to do something a bit more 'me'. So here it is in it's pink gothicness hehehe. I'm entering this for the Stamp Something challenge which was to make something pink and as they're looking for a new DT thought I'd pop my name down for that too, would love it if I got it!

Materials: core'dinations black cardstock, glitx doublesided paper, dcwv rockstar stack, cherrypie art stamps (main image) which was embossed with a hot pink embossing powder, heat gun, prima build a swirl stamps (sentiment), papermania brads.

Ooo also have got another award from the fabulous Tracey, she is such a sweetie and her work is absolutely stunning! I shall post the award tomorrow when I've chosen who to pass it onto. Also I won some blog candy-how cool is that!!! And....on mojo monday my card got chosen as a finalist although I didn't eventually win am really chuffed since so many talented people enter that challenge blog. Well am off to watch The Apprentice with hubby. Just wanted to say thanks everyone who stops by, and to my followers, I love going to visit your blogs, your work is all so inspiring and I am meeting such lovely people, I wish I'd started blogging sooner!
