Anyone for anya?

Afternoon everyone! Hope your day is going well. Me and hubby are going to the cinema tonight so I'm looking forward to that-we're going to see Orphan. We don't go out much these days y'know! lol. The new challenge blog Anyone for Anya started yesterday-go looky-the theme for the first challenge is sugar and spice which means your favourite things though you could interpret it other ways too. I've followed the sketch at Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm and have used my new dressy anya-these are absolutely my favourite set-I love them! Over at Stamptacular Sunday they want to see us use dimension on our cards and I've layered the card up quite a bit. I chose to use turquoise and brown-a gorgeous colour combo but one I rarely use and it just so happens to be the theme at the Secret Crafter. I've also done a fair bit of machine stitching (good ole janome sew mini!) on my card so this works for Creative Inspirations.

Stamp Something Dt Card-Summer Vacation Somethings

"We're all going on a summer holiday...." Sorry couldn't help it-at least you didn't have to hear me really sing! Stamp Something has gone all summery this week and we want to see your summer vacation (holiday to us brits) somethings. Thought this miss anya was a perfect match for this weeks challenge! I've gone all very bright and stuff using my Basicgrey lemonade pad-but it's just soooo yummy isn't it?! The layout is courtesy of BasicGrey Challenges-they're back you know with a new look! As I've added a tag it also fits in with this weeks Creative Inspirations challenge and Crafty Cardmakers (they're a brand spanking new blog so do pop over and check it out) wanted to see blossoms this week. The sentiment I've added was quite fitting i thought since we're having a bit of a funny summer over in the uk this year! I've also added stitching with my little sewing machine so this fits in for The Greeting Farm.

Stuff: Miss Anya stamp coloured with promarkers, Basic grey lemonade papers, core'dinations cardstock, sewing machine, raffia from stash, hero arts sentiment, nesties, mcgill and xcut punch for flowers, glossy accents (applied to sunglasses), adhesive pearl papermania, prima bling.

As I've scheduled this post I am as we speak joining miss anya at the beach with the kids-no doubt I'll be in a a similar outfit to miss anya too (yeah right!). Friday Sketchers

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fab weekend so far! Been nice weather here, was even quite decent on Friday when I went to the beach-we had just left to come home when it started with rain so we were fine. Leo had a great time!

I ordered a couple of Motivet stamps after seeing some of my blogging buddies beautiful creations-these stamps are really sweet, really good service too-arrived in 5 days! I just had to ink this little Doraline up first! This stamp is actually called 'sorry' but I think she looks quite bashful and shy so thought it would be a cute 'i love you' card:) I've used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and am also going to enter it at Creative Inspirations which would like to see distressing.

Stuff: Motivet stamp 'sorry' coloured with promarkers, k and co papers, nesties and cuttlebug, core'dinations card, tim holtz distressing tool, file to sand and scuff, distress inks in antique linen and vintage photo, crochet lace from market, hatpin from ebay.

Piling it On!

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well today and having a happy day so far! The postie has just been and brought me my woj stamps, that is like speed of light delivery-I only ordered them Thursday afternoon. Fantastic service or what, can't wait to ink those little lovelies up!

Todays card is using the sketch at Truly Scrumptious, which is a really fab one-they also wanted us to use our unused stash. So ...I've used some Basic Grey boxer papers that I've had for ages and never used, and the buttons are like 2 years old and I've not used even one from the pack! I'm also entering this over at Pile it On who want to see at least 4 buttons, Charisma who have an open challenge of anything you like and the Crafty Pad who want to see buttons too! Phew!

I just want to say thank you so much for the absolutely wonderful comments I've been left recently-they really mean a lot to me, and I know it shouldn't matter and that the main thing is I enjoy what I do but it's really nice to have validation that you like my work! I was so made up at having got the top 3 at Pile it On yesterday-I've never got anything like that before! Matching Pillow Box

I decided tonight to make a little pillow box to match the card from yesterday. These are such quick little gift boxes, there's lots of tutorials on splitcoaststampers on how to, I just can't find the linky right now! They're ideal to pop a gift voucher in, some sweets, a silk scarf, but I think this one shall end up with seeds in to go with the card:) I'm entering in again at Pile it On for purple and Creative Inspirations which is anything but a card. I've kept the box quite simple but I think it's 'enough' iykwim:)

Stuff I used: dcwv metallic stack, prima flowers, papermania brads, lace from stash, basic grey wisteria paper. For card 'stuff' see previous post.

Have had a fun day today, this morning I took Leo to a new toddler group and met a really nice lady there and Leo absolutely loved it. Then this afternoon mum brought a sandpit home, you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get hold of one right now, everyone has sold out! So Leo was a happy chappy playing the sand this afternoon with his spade. Lisa also made me my very own personalised banner! Am thrilled with it! Looks soooo cool don't you think?! Huge huge thanks to Lisa for that! Hope everyone else has had a good day too and wohooooo it's the weekend! Catch you all tomorrow!
