This weekend my dad and step mum are visiting so we've been really busy-yesterday we went to the beach and last night we had a lovely meal! I got really sunburnt though yesterday! Today there's been a craft fair in town so we had a good look round and Leo's been playing in and out of the sprinklers this afternoon! All good fun:)

Monochrome Christmas Gifts

Evening everyone! Yea it's Friday and Ian is actually off tomorrow to am looking forward to the weekend:) Not sure what we're doing though, possibly a mixture of packing and working on more gifts and christmas cards and we'll be taking Leo out somewhere too. What you guys upto? Is it me or did it suddenly get really cold!?! Bring on the snow!

So the project I'm showing you today is one of the gifts I've made to give for the season. This will go to my step mum I think. All the paper is dcwv La Creme stack (ohhh how I love it!).

Calendar: The calendar pages are printed from a template by CAT on SplitCoastStampers which you can find here. Saves a lot of time having a template, and then it's ready to stamp on and pretty up:) The flourish stamp which I used on the corners of the calendar pages is by Autumn leaves and all my stamping was done with Ranger Archival jet black ink (I love this stuff-it's the purest black ink I've found). For the covers of the calendar I've covered some plain chipboard in the la creme papers and used the bind it all to bind the project. The numbers are cut with the cuttlebug and I've stamped the autumn leaves flourish around a nestie frame. Oo and I added a bit of tulle in raven-it seems I am addicted to this stuff-which you can buy here. Here's a close-up of the insides:~

Photo Frame: I bought a couple of the new papermania bare basics photo frames at the NEC and thought it was high time I use them and get them ready for gifts! I separated the frame in the middle so it was easier to cover (thanks Clare if you're reading!) again with the le creme papers and then stuck the frame back together again. I stamped the front with the flourish stamp again to match the calendar, added some bling and then added a sizzix flower. The flower is layered up with silicone glue to add a bit of dimension. Here's a flower close-up:~

I'm going to enter this into a few challenges:

Stamp Something want to see glitz (I've got bling!), Whimsy Stamps want to see monochromatic, and Pile it On who want to see flowers and flourishes.

Well that's it from me, enjoy the rest of your evening! Thanks for popping by and for any comments you might leave-I really appreciate them! xxx

A Notebook and Colour Create

Afternoon everyone! I think this may well be my last post before I go off on my hols on Saturday morning. I am gonna miss everyone! Will definetly miss my crafting but am super excited to go. Maybe I'll take some images to colour;)

Well onto todays project. The theme over at Colour Create is blush pink, lilac and mossy green. The added extra is to include die cuts but I haven't done that am afraid. As you can see I've made a book....am pleased as punch with myself as my mum got me a bind it all and this was my first go and it came it perfect! I love that little binder! This is for a pressie for someone so have kept it fairly simple on the front cover as she is defo a less is more person. The image is whiff of joy, but not mine I might add, it came from Coco, who is just the sweetest person ever! I won her blog candy last week and there was tons of images in the most beautiful folder she'd made. I love it! So here's the bits I've used:

Materials: Bind it All machine by Zutter, DreamKuts machine, whiff of joy image coloured with Promarkers, BasicGrey Wisteria papers, core'dinations cardstock, nesties circles and scallop circle, rub on from stash, ribbon and twine from stash.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful comments I've had recently-I truly appreciate your feedback, and your kind words just make my day! I am so grateful for the special friends I've made through blogging and the inspiration you all provide. Incase I don't manage to make a post tomorrow then hope you all have a lovely week!

Don't forget though to pop back here a week tomorrow on Friday 19th for the super fun and exciting Sugar Nellie blog hop! I have learnt how to schedule posts so am all raring to go, can't wait to see what all the other stamps look like and the creations the other lovely ladies have made!
