More From the Sugar Nellie Autumn kit

Good morning everyone! Am bright and early this morning! Hope everyones weekend is going well and you're managing to get in some crafty time! Not so much crafting getting done here as Leo's teeth are playing up big time so he's pretty much attached to my hip at the moment, and waking up every hour in the night so am a tad tired shall we say!

Had some time last night though to ink up this lovely that I got as part of my Sugar Nellie dt pack from the Autumn Kit. I'm just loving playing with all this sugar so much! This card started life being quite close in layout to the sketch over at the Sugar Bowl, though I knew I wasn't going to be using pink and brown which is a must if you want to be for the delicious prize of the new set of Mary Hall stamps! Tis now rotated from the sketch and I've gone with a semi circle instead of a circle which I embellished with orange and red paper roses. Thanks for the sketch inspiration Marlene, loved it!

Stuff: Sugar Nellie Autumn Kit available here, copic ciao's and sketch to colour, Sara's scrapbooking papers (hotp), core'dinations cardstock, sewing machine, kanban bling, red roses from here, orange roses from stash with added shimmerz in fire engine red from here.

Here's a little close up:~

Enjoy your day, and I'll be back tomorrow! Thanks for popping by and for any comments you might leave! Don't forget to enter my candy if you haven't already:) Huggles xxx

The Sugar Bowl

Evening everyone! How's your day been? It's been pretty good this end and have had a lovely time having my mil here, and she so enjoyed seeing Leo again. Seems we're back to the wet weather again though doesn't it?!

It's Sugar Bowl time again and this time it's a gorgeous sketch by Marlene with the please include option of doodling. Now I haven't included doodling but if you want to be eligible for the prize then you must include it. The prize this time is a pick and mix of Sugarnellie stamps-who wouldn't love that!

I forgot to tell you yesterday about my sewing machine, a bit ago I said my brother machine needed a service but I think it didn't really love me putting card through it so I decided to save mr brother for just material and get a ickle machine purely for cardmaking and such. So after seeing a few recommendations..I got a sweet little Janome mini off an ebay shop for about £30 which arrived yesterday-and I love it! It's a good little sturdy machine, good speed, easy to use so I would definetly recommend it. So..I've got some stiching on this card, really missed adding it when I was without a machine, I think it finishes things off lovely like:)

Stuff: sugarnellie stamp 'ropeswing' coloured with copics and promarkers, mme wild asparagus and papermania regency papers, core'dination card, distressing tool, k and co rub on, prima flowers, pm brad, sewing machine, distress inks in antique linen and vintage photo, martha stewart doily lace punch.

Craft Stamper mag is out soon, Friday I think, though if you subscribe you'll have it already and a fab one it is too-especially since my teamie Judy's work is on the front cover! She's done a fab feature on stitching...you must check it out! Well am off to catch up with Big Brother, see yas tomorrows:)

Sugar Bowl Time Again!

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a lovely afternoon? Me and Leo have been to his little friends house which I look forward to as me and his mum get on so well. We're going to hopefully go (fingers crossed with the weather) on Friday to the beach all together. The kids are 2 months apart in age so it's great for them both bless em. I'm going to have some news for you soon, but atm I'm keeping quiet;)

So it's Sugarbowl time again, and you gotta see the prize! Have you seen Sugarnellie's new release? Ohhh they're sooo cute-they're the new manga stamps but they still have that same sugarnellie sweetness we all love. A joy to colour I'm sure, especially since our pens were made for manga artists. It's a fab sketch once again, and if you're not used to using sketches then this would be a great one to start playing with. The please include option this time is ribbons and bows-though I've used raffia and twine.

Stuff: Sugarnellie stamp-gorjuss girl set 3 coloured with Promarkers, distress inks, dcwv latte stack papers, core'dinations card, raffia and twine from local hardware store, prima flowers, buttons from stash, hero arts sentiment.

I've gone for paper tearing on this card and well, more distressing :) Hope you likey:) Thanks so much for popping by, please do leave me a little word or two so I know you've been-it makes my day and then I can come visit you back! Have a great evening. Huggles xxx

Sugar Bowl Time!

Evening lovely bloggers! Hope everyone has had a fab day. Spoke to my best mate today and she's going to come stay for a few days from Wednesday so can't wait! Thanks so much for the lovely comments recently-I love reading em and they do mean a lot.

So tonights card is for The Sugar Bowl and it's yet another fabby sketch this time by Judy-lots of layers-love it! The 'please include' option this time is to add some sparkle so I've added some bling. Gone for quite a bit of red today which I don't usually use but it is my fave colour! SugarNellie has some more new sugar atm with the new Mary Hall stamps and the new Gorjuss girls set 3 just having been released-with any luck my Mary Hall set will arrive tomorrow!

Stuff: Sugarnellie stamp by Elisabeth Bell coloured with Promarkers, sewing machine, mme papers, core'dinations card, ribbon bought at a local craft fair, bling, prima flowers, rub on sentiment, rose button from local haberdashery, staples, distress inks

Well off to catch up with Big Brother! See yas tomorrow! Huggles

Playing in The Sugar Bowl

Hello friends, what a glorious day! How beautiful is the weather! I've received some lovely award recently that I haven't yet posted but shall do tomorrow, sorry for the lateness of that for those that have given them, I really appreicate them and that you thought of me.

Onto the card! It's Sugar Bowl time again....my fave! I've used my Leanne Ellis stamp that I won but haven't inked up yet as I was waiting to find some papers I liked for her, which I did yesterday. I'm really happy how it's turned out, I absolutely love this style and this little lady just sums it all up perfectly I think. The please include option was 'kraft' actual or colour so I've gone with colour since I don't have any. I think Lilian's sketch is fab, and the prize you can win is the set 3 of the gorjuss girls so you should definetly enter. They always give the best prizes over there:) I used quite a few Tim Holtz products, I coloured with distress inks and I also used a Tim Holtz Mask which is how I achieved the clock and cog-the ink colour I used was black soot (sponged). I would really recommend the masks if you fancy something different-they are big enough to use on your scrapbook pages too:) Here's the full list of what I used:

Materials: SugarNellie stamp (Leanne Ellis) coloured with Distress inks (brushed corduroy, walnut stain, pine needles, black soot, tattered rose, peeled paint). K and Co paper, core'dinations card, PM paper regency, cuttlebug with nesties and embossing folder, raffia, buttons from stash, prima flowers, tim holtz mask with distress ink black soot for the cog and clock.

Thanks for stopping by and any comments you might leave for me-they make my day!

P.S Lelia asked how I achieve the 'highlights' around the cardstock edges-all I do is use core'dinations card which I sand around the edges and then distress using a Tim Holtz distressing tool-then thats the effect! Hope that helps!

The Sugar Bowl

Fantastic sketch over at the Sugar Bowl-as always-all the 'sweeties' sketches are fab! The extra was to include pearls so I used adhesive pearls around the scalloped circle. Did you notice the fun thing I did to little Annie? I crackled her! Was sooo fun and I love the effect, think this image works really well with it too. If you can't see it well in the pic then give a little click on the pic for a close-up. I also made some ickle twigs around the prima flower which I made from a bare tree punch I had and I just trimmed it up a bit then added some ink to the edges to co-ordinate with the photo corner. Can you tell I had fun hehe?

If anything doesn't make sense in this post it's because I'm trying to make sure Leo doesn't do himself a mischief as he has discovered climbing this week-and there I was thinking I could snatch 5 mins to write this!

Materials: Doodlebug papers, Core'dinations cardstock, Leanne Ellis stamp Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers, Kars scallop circle stamp, Inkadinkado swirl stamps (on photo corner), Cricut Jasmine cartridge, Ranger crackle accents, prima flowers, Papermania adhesive pearls, tree punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might leave-I really appreciate them!

Sugar Bowl Challenge

This time over at the Sugar Bowl (which is defo my fave challenge blog-just love love love those sweet stamps) the theme is to make a mens card for any age! Quite a toughie but really enjoyed it. I made this card for my husband as it is his Birthday this month-hope he likes it! I went to town on the distressing-which was really fun!

Before I get to the ingredients here's a question-When you craft do you listen to music, enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the tv, or something else?I listen to audio books usually when I craft or music-am on Terry Pratchetts Mort right now-am just getting into his books so haven't heard many.

On this card I used mainly dcwv rockstar stack, core-dinations card, coloured with promarkers, brads were doodlebug and HOTP, also used some jute, the sentiment is from penny black t for transparency. Hope you have a fab day everyone. xxx

SugarBowl Challenge

I hope everyone has had a lovely day today, hopefully you've had the day off! Ideally you've been crafting and eating yummy easter eggs (haven't started mine yet but been nibbling bits off hubby's hehe). Todays card is for The Sugar Bowl, my favourite challenge! It was a sketch this time, and I had lots of fun with it, was different for me as the sketch involved lots of layers but I'm quite pleased with the finished result. It's going to winging its way to a new friend tomorrow, hope she likes it.

For the card I used a Gorjuss girl stamp, Sandylion paper, dcwv metallic stack, rockstar stack, prima flowers, papermania brads, sizzix die cut, prima star stamps from build a swirl, distress inks oo and cosmo cricket fleuriste papers too.

Other news, I've pre ordered the gorjuss girls set 2-woohoo! Can't wait for those lovelies to get delivered! Well am off to do some more crafting, have a lovely evening and thanks for stopping by.

First Post, New Blog

Well, I got a blog, I figured if I was going to enter challenges then why not go all the way and get a blog. It'll be nice for me to look back on all the bits I've made too. I've not been crafting long, about 8 months, it started with scrapbooking some piccies of my little boy and now I enjoy making cards too. So, 8 months, a lot of money later (why are crafting goodies so irresistable?!) and here I am!!

Well this is my entry for the Sugar Bowl challenge...Spring theme, using my beautiful new gorjuss girl stamps. Am so glad I was stalking the Sugar Nellie blog waiting to find out when they were back in stock-it didn't take long for them to start selling out!!!
