Bloom and Grow

Evening friends! I've been busy with my Sugar Nellie dt pack, ooo the new releases are gorgeous! To see them all click here. This gorgeous girly is one of the fab new Manga stamps called Bloom and Grow. She's so fun to colour-I just love the manga stamps cos you can go as bright as you fancy and in January I think we need a bit of a colour!

For the layout I've used the gorgeous sketch over at Sketch Saturday, am also going to enter it over at Dutch Dare who want to see Summer in Winter.

Stuff: Bloom and Grow stamp by Sugar Nellie, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers, sizzix die, button from stash, bling, copics to colour, bazzill bling cardstock, sewing machine.

Here's a little close-up:~

So hows your weekend been? Been a nice quiet one here, went out today to the local garden centre to see if I could find any crafty bargains, but there was none to be had! Me and Leo are baking chocolate chip cookies tomorrow and hopefully meeting up with a friend for coffee. Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-I love reading them!

Quixotic Challenge #2-Stitching!

Hey everyone! Tis Wednesday and that means it's time for another Quixotic Challenge! This week I've picked the challenge and I want to see stitching on your projects. As little or as much as you like, hand or machine! Don't forget the more times you enter within the month the more chance you'll have to win the fab prize of a £20 Quixotic Paperie Voucher.

Elaine sent me one of the gorgeous new Twinkle Tot stamps by The Greeting Farm which you can purchase from Quixotic Paperie here. She was a joy to colour! Tellin ya though-I want her hat! Too cute! For the papers I've used some yummy Basic Grey which I got from the NEC-think they're from the Blush collection. All the stitching has been done on my little janome mini sewing machine. Now the ribbon, would you believe, is actually from an old box of Thorntons chocolates, and I'd obviously kept the ribbon and it's been sat in my ribbon draw since last year!

Stuff: Twinkle Tot stamp by The Greeting Farm available here, copics to colour, Basic Grey papers, sewing machine, dcwv glitter stack, ribbon from stash, Martha Stewart valentine lace punch.

Here's a little close up:~

The layout of my card is from the gorgeous sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week and am also going to enter this over at LaLaLand who want to see us get punchy!

I loved visiting you all to check out your entries last week and I hope you'll join in again! Don't forget you can combine our challenge with as many others as you fancy!

Thanks for popping by today and for any comments you might leave me-I love hearing from you and try to come visit you back as often as I can! xxx

Sugar Nellie DT meets Sketch Saturday

Evening all:) How we all doing? I'm not too bad, am having some back problems right now or at least worse than usual and am waiting on an appointment for another MRI scan but eh, I'll live! Anyways crafting is a happy distraction and have been playing with another of the Sugar Nellie Country Cousins Christmas stamps, I love this little chap-off posting his rather long list to Santa:)

For the layout I've used the fab sketch over at Sketch Saturday, it's been too long since I've joined in over there! Am also entering this card at: Cupcake Craft Challenges (buttons and stitching), and Everybody Art (shapes or punches). All the papers are the from the Cosmo Cricket jolly by golly paper pad, have added some little twinkly highlights here and there with some Shimmerz in pixie dust. Love that stuff! You just paint it right on, not messy at all and dries really quick. Decided it was high time I got my snowflake punches out, wish I could tell you the brand but I've no clue am afraid, I also added shimmerz to the punched snowflakes too, and popped some bling in the centre:)

Stuff: Sugar Nellie Country Cousins stamp available here, copics to colour, shimmerz bling in pixie dust here, buttons and raffia lace from Quixotic Paperie, Cosmo Cricket jolly by golly papers, SU cardstock in chocolate chip and sentiments by SU from Zoe, sewing machine

Here's a little close-up:~

Thanks for popping by and any comments you may leave-love reading them! I'm off to have some dinner and then watch the Twilight film (have finished the first book now!), might have to have some more crafty time later though as Katrina's blog candy arrived today that I won and it's so fab!!! Thanks hunny-hope you're feeling better! See yas soon xxx

Happiness

This image makes me so happy when I see it! I just love the quirkiness of Diane Duda's stamps! The past two evenings I've just not been in the mood for creating though. I realised today this was probably due to mountain of stash on my craft table! I'm not a tidy worker by any means but because I do do alot of crafting and have a habit of not tidying up after it my desk can quickly become covered! So it was time to clear up! Now I have so much space!

I haven't played over at Sketch Saturday for a couple of weeks so thought I best remedy that! I've also combined a few other challenges:) At Whimsy Challenges they want to see your friendship cards (am just in the nick of time for entering this..again!), tuesday taggers (a newie to me) want to see flowers as do A Spoonful of Sugar, and Papertake weekly want to see creations with a theme of a season-I'm going for Summer!

Stuff: Sugarnellie stamp by Diane Duda 'Upside Down', coloured using copics, distress inks in shabby shutters and broken china, core'dinations card, Basic grey papers 'Lemonade collection', McGill flower punch, xcut flower punch, prima and papermania bling, studio g sentiment, BoBunny doublesided ribbon.

We had a fab day at the Farm Park on friday, leo loved feeding the animals! We all went on one of those big trampolines as well-so funny! My candy will be closing soon! I've absolutely loved reading all your comments on what has made you smile-all of em made me smile! I also had a lovely email today from a fellow crafter (if you're reading this Michelle-you really made my day!) which made me smile even more! Hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend-here in the UK we've been super lucky with the weather!

Seems to have been a bit cooler today though:) Todays card is for Sketch Saturday, it's another lovely one again this week! I've inked up this lovely Sugar Nellie as she hadn't been out to play for a good while now and coloured her in distress inks to get a bit more of a vintage feel.

A Summery Sketch Saturday and Charisma Cardz!

Hi everyone, hope everyone's had a good day, even if it is Monday:)

Don't you just love this image? Looky at all the yummy strawberries. Unfortunetly I don't actually have these stamps, they were very kindly stamped up by Coco as part of a goodie bag I won:) So this card challenge is for Sketch Saturday, I really love this layout, very different from my usuals I pick. I'm also entering it over at Charisma Cardz as their theme this week is 'diamonds'. The papers are all BasicGrey again from the cupcake collection-I love the strong tones in this pack. Here's the bits I used:

Materials: Basic Grey cupcake papers and core'dinations card, woj stamp summer 09 collection coloured with promarkers, raffia, scallop template, bling from stash, woj sentiment.

Did a spot of craft shopping today, got some new papers and a pot of prima flowers, they just jumped right into my basket:) Ooo did you see/hear that the new Gorjuss girls set 3 are going to be released soon? Hands up who's getting em? I have sets 1 and 2 so I might just have to treat myself:) I'm hoping there's a witchy gorjuss girl in this new collection:) Hope everyone has had a good day, even if it is Monday:)

Sketch Saturday!

Hello lovely crafty friends! Another beautiful day! though I hear that'll be changing...:( today's card is for Sketch Saturday-they're celebrating their birthday and there's tons of fab goodies:) I've changed some bits and bobs on the sketch, I've rotated it and resized some of the elements and moved the sentiment a little. It's my Miss Anya's first outing! I enjoyed using green so much yesterday I decided to add it in again, is funny since I don't usually go for any greens at all. I think this is my fave miss anya-her curly hair is so cool! So here's what I used:

Materials: Miss Anya-The Greeting Farm coloured with Promarkers, Tim holtz distressing tool, distress inks in weathered wood-peeled paint-milled lavender, Nestibilities scalloped oval, Tim Holtz adage tickets, stapler, Papermania brads, SU ribbon, Core-dinations cardstock, ShabbyPrincess download papers and Prima flowers.

I hope you likey:) Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave-I really appreciate them.

Sketch Saturday and Charisma Cardz

This is going to be my last post till Friday evening as we're going to visit my dad in Darlington till then which will be lovely. Little Leo had some jabs today and he's been feeling grisly this evening bless him, but he was so brave at the drs!

Todays card is for Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it over at Charisma as their theme this week is purple and green. I am so loving purple right now but I'm running out of purple papers now! I used a sugar nellie stamp called Choose, Basic Grey papers, Bazzill Basic paper (purple dotty), and Ki Memories lace cardstock called bouquet. The lace cardstock was one of the goodies mr postie brought me this morning and it's something I've been after for ages but I spotted on sale last week at craftsulove and it just jumped into my shopping basket. *loves a bargain*

Well I am going to pop off now and watch the Apprentice!!! Love that show! Thanks everyone for leaving me such lovely comments recently, it's so nice of you all. Lorraine you are a real sweetie, and your card shall be in the post for you over the weekend! Have a lovely evening everyone.
