Altered Anya and Friends-Quixotic Challenges

Afternoon! Sorry I've been MIA this week but we're all a bit under the weather over here which is why I'm late with my Quixotic Challenge DT card:) The theme for the next 2 weeks is 'Altered Anya and Friends', basically we want you to alter your Greeting Farm stamps in some way. Amy Young one of the fabulous Greeting Farm DT has joined us a guest this time-afterall she is the queen of altering:) If you need some tips on how to alter your stamps check out Amy's tutorials:

As this challenge is a bit different you MUST use Greeting Farm images (can be digis from heretoo) and you have 2 weeks to get your entries in. Also there will be a top 3 showcase and the winner will receive a surprise embellishment gift worth £10 from Quixotic Paperie. That's a great prize right?! Plus you'll go into the monthly prize draw too-can't be bad!

So anyways.. onto my card! My altering is very subtle and is ideal if you're a bit unsure or afraid of diving straight into altering-I've added spots to Miss Anya's headband. I've gone for quite a simple design as well on this card, using the Sketch over at Midnight Madness and just adding some pretty Prima E-Line flowers:) I did add some Shimmerz in pixie dust to the flowers though! All the papers are from the gorgeous new Crate Paper collection called Pink Plum which Quixotic Paperie have started stocking. If you want to grab some of the lush lace I've used on my card check out the selection here-am addicted to using it at the moment! Am also entering this over at Cupcake Craft Challenge as their theme this week is flower power.

Here's a little close-up:~

Think that's it from me, hope to be back again this weekend! We're going to see Alice in Wonderland tomorrow night and I can't wait! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments:)

Quixotic Challenge #5-Charms

Afternoon friends! Tis Wednesday so that means its time for another Quixotic Challenge, and this week the challenge is to use charms on your project, as picked by Martine. I decided to use a Miss Anya since she's been a bit neglected of late, and if you don't have this set yet (why would that be?!) you can buy it here! I think this card will be going to my niece for her birthday this month. I can't believe we're in December! I need to start posting cards soon I guess, and I'm already getting in a panic over the handmade gifts that I'm soooo behind on now!! Oh well, am sure it'll all get done:)

All the papers are from the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Early Bird pack which you can grab from Quixotic Paperie here. The charm is one of the many gorgeous embellishments that you can buyhere. At the moment I seem to be making cards with a very minimal amount of embellishments, not sure what that's about, but everytime I try and add stuff it never looks right.

Here's a close up of the fabulous Miss Anya:~

I'm going to enter this over at Papertake Weekly and Simon Says Challenge as their theme this week is also charms!

Well that's all from me today, I hope you find time to join in our challenge, and don't forget you can combine it with as many as you fancy! Also the more times you play in a month the more chances you have of winning the fabulous Quixotic Paperie gift voucher:)

What do you reckon to my new wintery looking blog? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for snow before the end of the month! Take care, and I'll be back with something to show tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone! Tis Friday and that means it's time for another Stamp Something DT card! Great theme we've got for you this week-use your favourite stamp or stamp set! Fun one right? We've also started a top 5 each week so another incentive to play! I recently won the Miss Anya dressy set and I'm lovin these sweeties so just had to use one for my project this week! Must say it took me ages to actually make this card as it just wasn't 'working' then I looked at miss anya and the way I'd coloured her and thought she looked like santas little helper! And so it became a Christmas card and it all came together!

Stuff: Miss Anya Dressy set available here (get em quick!) coloured with copics, MME laundry line and Christmas papers available here (frame die cut from paper pack), sewing machine, core'dinations cardstock, organza ribbon from stash, mcgill and xcut punch for flowers, woodware grass punch, spacer available here.

The layout is from the gorgeous sketch at Stamp With Fun and over at Crafty Creations they want to see us use 3 or more pieces of patterned paper so am entering it there too. I really enjoyed seeing your creations last week so please do join us again! Thanks for popping by today and for any comments you might leave for me-they make my day! Huggles

Anyone for anya?

Afternoon everyone! Hope your day is going well. Me and hubby are going to the cinema tonight so I'm looking forward to that-we're going to see Orphan. We don't go out much these days y'know! lol. Thanks for all the lovely comments about Leo and help with the engagement card-just got to make it now! The new challenge blog Anyone for Anya started yesterday-go looky-the theme for the first challenge is sugar and spice which means your favourite things though you could interpret it other ways too. I've followed the sketch at Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm and have used my new dressy anya-these are absolutely my favourite set-I love them! Over at Stamptacular Sunday they want to see us use dimension on our cards and I've layered the card up quite a bit. I chose to use turquoise and brown-a gorgeous colour combo but one I rarely use and it just so happens to be the theme at the Secret Crafter. I've also done a fair bit of machine stitching (good ole janome sew mini!) on my card so this works for Creative Inspirations.

Stuff: Miss Anya (Dressy anya collection) by The Greeting Farm coloured with copics and promarkers, HOTP fleamarket papers, core'dinations card, sewing machine, prima flowers, lace, button and spacer from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie, kanban bling, woodware paper punch.

Ooo just to give you a heads up the new Sugarnellie Homegrown stamps have been released today-get em quick before they sell out! Well am gonna start dinner so I'll see you all tomorrow with any luck! Thanks so much for stopping by. Huggles xxx

Stamp Something Dt Card-Summer Vacation Somethings

"We're all going on a summer holiday...." Sorry couldn't help it-at least you didn't have to hear me really sing! Stamp Something has gone all summery this week and we want to see your summer vacation (holiday to us brits) somethings. Thought this miss anya was a perfect match for this weeks challenge! I've gone all very bright and stuff using my Basicgrey lemonade pad-but it's just soooo yummy isn't it?! The layout is courtesy of BasicGrey Challenges-they're back you know with a new look! As I've added a tag it also fits in with this weeks Creative Inspirations challenge and Crafty Cardmakers (they're a brand spanking new blog so do pop over and check it out) wanted to see blossoms this week. The sentiment I've added was quite fitting i thought since we're having a bit of a funny summer over in the uk this year! I've also added stitching with my little sewing machine so this fits in for The Greeting Farm.

Stuff: Miss Anya stamp coloured with promarkers, Basic grey lemonade papers, core'dinations cardstock, sewing machine, raffia from stash, hero arts sentiment, nesties, mcgill and xcut punch for flowers, glossy accents (applied to sunglasses), adhesive pearl papermania, prima bling.

As I've scheduled this post I am as we speak joining miss anya at the beach with the kids-no doubt I'll be in a a similar outfit to miss anya too (yeah right!). Please do pop over to SS and look at the other dt samples-they're gorgeous! Can't wait to see your summer vacation somethings. Don't forget if you enter you could win a fab prize too-all the more reason for playing! Thanks so much for stopping by! Huggles

Secret Crafter...bit of bling

Hi everyone....Haven't posted for a couple of days as have been finishing Father's Day stuff and working on my card for the SugarNellie bloghop! As the hop is a week on Friday (the 19th) and I am on my holidays in Whitby I need to get it completed before I go! If anyone knows how to schedule posts on blogger can you tell me how or point me in the right direction!

Well todays card is for the Secret Crafter and they would like to some bling! Thought I'd use another Miss Anya, it's not right to keep her all tucked away in my stamp storage! Went for more green but teamed it with bright blue this time (not sure what all this green's about I keep using!) Here's what bits I used:

Materials: papers from ShabbyPrincess, Papermania brads, Miss Anya (The Greeting Farm) coloured with Promarkers, Distress inks in Shabby Shutters and Pine Needles, core'dinations card, lace from haberdashery stall, decorative pin from same, Tim Holtz adage tickets and Prima flowers.

Also I've received an award from the lovely and very talented Lorraine. I have received this award before but it still means just as much! Thanks Lorraine! Well till tomorrow....hope everyone has a good evening!

Sketch Saturday!

Hello lovely crafty friends! Another beautiful day! though I hear that'll be changing...:( today's card is for Sketch Saturday-they're celebrating their birthday and there's tons of fab goodies:) I've changed some bits and bobs on the sketch, I've rotated it and resized some of the elements and moved the sentiment a little. It's my Miss Anya's first outing! I enjoyed using green so much yesterday I decided to add it in again, is funny since I don't usually go for any greens at all. I think this is my fave miss anya-her curly hair is so cool! So here's what I used:

Materials: Miss Anya-The Greeting Farm coloured with Promarkers, Tim holtz distressing tool, distress inks in weathered wood-peeled paint-milled lavender, Nestibilities scalloped oval, Tim Holtz adage tickets, stapler, Papermania brads, SU ribbon, Core-dinations cardstock, ShabbyPrincess download papers and Prima flowers.

I hope you likey:) Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave-I really appreciate them.
