Where did the week go? and The Pixie Cottage DT card!

How can it be Thursday! I had such great blogging plans-and I have quite a few posts to write up as well! It's been a crazy busy week here, we've all been poorly with colds and my etsy shop has been crazy busy for about a month-which is great but time has just flown by! As I am based in the UK I decided to also open a Folksy shop to run alongside my etsy store. Here it is if you want a peek!

Right onto my card! Wednesday was my second week Guest Designing for The Pixie Cottage and the theme this week is vintage/distressing! My favourite! For this card I used the fabulousSouth End Girl Stamp. She is such a versatile image I know I'm going to use her over and over! I got some lush papers from my friend Clare the other day-I've never heard of the brand before now but they're by GCD studios and the pack is called Ella Blue. I also used some text to paper piece the South End girl stamp-I think it's quite a cool look! The flower is a nestie die which I got recently and this was the first chance I've had to play! Ooo and the tag is from one of my tag sets available here if you're overseas or here if you're from the UK.

Angle shot-I'm making sure I decorate my insides of the card at the time instead of leaving them till they get sold or get sent off! Got to be more organised!

I'm also going to enter this at Paperplay who theme is brown and..and Crafty Cardmakers, and I also followed the sketch at Midnight Madness.

Right then I'm gonna go off and get the dinner cooked! Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments-I love hearing from you! I also have another giveaway to post so I'll be back later-keep your eyes peeled!

Vintage Dressmaking

Hi guys! Hope everyone is well and that those in the UK had a good bank holiday weekend! The weather was a bit rubbish though wasn't it?! Just below this post I've announced the winner of my Sweet Pea Stamp candy giveaway so be sure to check if its you! If you didn't win you'll have another chance in a couple of days, so keep you're eyes peeled!

When I cut back on some of my Design Team work a couple of months ago the main reason was to be able to create all the new things I had running around in my head but with DT committments just didn't have time-this card is another one of these-along with all the Alice in Wonderland projects and postcards I've been posting recently. Now I'm never gonna put down my copics but I love creating things in this vintage/distressed style, and who doesn't love playing around and trying new things! I've also had a bit more time to work on my etsy shop which I've wanted to do for ages rather than just letting it sit there, especially since any extra pennies are really helpful when you're a stay at home mummy:)

Anyways I already have a few great vintage fashion type stamps but not a collection and recently while channel hopping I saw on Create and Craft that Creative Expressions were launching some new stamps and these were them! I actually didn't buy them from there-got em cheaper somewhere else:) All the patchwork style squares have been stamped in memento rich cocoa (think that's what it's called?!), distressed with ink then distressed with my tim holtz tool and stitched onto scraps of brown cardstock. This design is a great way of using up all your scrap bits of card! I just love the sentiment in the centre!

I'm going to enter this into a few challenges: Crafty Cardmakers (distressing), Stampavie and More (distressing), Totally gorjuss (stitching).

For those that may be interested this card has been listed to purchase here:

Come back tomorrow as I'll be posting twice-yep-twice and find out what's happening! Thanks for popping by and for any comments you leave-I truly appreciate each and every one and I'm sorry for being a bad commenter at the minute!
