Afternoon all! How are we today? Good I hope! These weeks do seem to be flying or is it just me?! So, Wednesday means another challenge from Quixotic Challenges and this week the lovely Carole picked Monochromatic.

Sweet November Doorhanger-For the Girls

Morning all! Hope you're enjoying a lovely relaxing Saturday morning! I've been working on this wooden doorhanger for the past 2 evenings, and so enjoyed making it, it's so pretty and girly! I just adore Amy's Sweet November fairy's, this one is called 'Sparkle Thistleweed'-what a fab name! I do love my images to have some real character and these fairys have tons of it! I love working with them!

I bought some handcut wooden doorhangers a week or so ago especially to make some sparkly pretties:) I've coloured 'Sparkle' with my copics, used my clear copic atyou spica pen all over the hair to add sparkle, added shimmerz gold glimmer over the dress and applied a generous coat of Glossy Accents all over the image to provide a bit of sturdiness. Here's a close up:~

All the papers I used are from the new Crate Paper pack called 'Pink Plum' available from Quixotic Paperie here. After covering the hanger with the papers I applied some Distress Crackle Paint in picket fence to all the edges then went over them with worn lipstick distress ink. I used a few scraps to make the lollipop flower below and added some more Shimmerz to the edges then attached a glittery brad to secure. To accent the lollipop flower I also used the bazzill bling templates to add some bling-they're so easy to use!

I used some pale pink roses from my stash and glittered them up with some Stickles which you can see below. Isn't the lace just lush! I absolutely love it, in fact I'm getting quiet addicted to it-you can check out the range here, but I used fuschia and orange.

I'm adding this girly glittery doorhanger to my Etsy Shop to find a new home to sparkle in:)
Here's another yummy flower close-up:~

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

Charisma Cardz-something for the kids-this is perfect for little girls and grown up girls alike:)
Stamp Something-Distressed Something-I used distress inks and distress crackle paints and paper distressing on the lollipop flower.
My Time To Craft-Lovely Lace

Well I think that's about it for now! Enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today and for any comments you leave-love hearing from you!

Sweet Easter Bunnies

Evening friends! Happy St Patricks Day! It was Leo's 2nd birthday today so it's been a full packed day this end as we had a party this afternoon-we're still nibbling on bits of party food! At the minute Leo's in a Fireman Sam phase so most of his toys he got were Fireman Sam themed-all noisy too;) Anyways, so it's been lots of fun here but that's lets get on with the card:)

Elaine sent me the adorable CC Designs Sweet November Baby Bunnies and ever since I first saw Amy Young previewing them I fell in love with them-they're sooooo cute right-although I do feel that way over all her stamp designs-I just plain love her style!!! It was so lovely making a proper spring themed card with all the lovely fresh spring colours. I used a mix of the gorgeous new BasicGrey Green at Heart 6 x 6 papers and the equally yummy BasicGrey Kioshi 6 x 6 papers. If you haven't got either of these new paper pads I urge you to get em-they really are gorgeous! All of the papers have been inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in spiced marmalade. Recently I treated myself to some Retro punches and they had their first outing on this card:) All papers/card have been stitched with the sewing machine. For all your Spring and Easter cards you can't do much better than this fab sentiment set by Amy R and a bargain at £6.25.

Here's a little image close-up of this darling Bunny (coloured with copics):~

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

ASOS-Easter
Simon Says-Touch of Green
Creative Inspirations- Colour combo-Green, white and yellow

Phew it's hard to keep up with all the challenges isn't it! Don't forget if you haven't checked out the new Quixotic Inspirations Blog do so now and become a follower as there's gonna be some candy real soon:) Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-I love to get feedback from you guys:)

Afternoon friends! Ooo we've got a great challenge for you this week over at Quixotic Challenges-the theme being I Believe In Fairies. All the dt used some of the fabulous CC Designs Sweet November Fairy stamps by the super talented Amy Young. You can check the full range out here. We've been lucky enough to have Amy guest dt with us too this week so do check out the gorgeous samples at the blog.

Amy's stamps are some of my favourites out there, I love how funky they are! I've coloured her in using copics but on the hair I went over it with a copic spica glitter pen. All the papers and elements are from the fab paper pack by MME Love Me Do.

Here's an image close up:~

The layout of the card is from the fab sketch over at Mojo Monday. Since I've gone all loved up this fits into quite a few other challenges this week:

Halloween Fun!

Evening everyone! How's everyone's week going? Good I hope! All is well this end, had a lovely day actually, spent the morning in the hairdressers, am all re-coloured and feeling better! I decided I had better crack on with some Halloween makes... so this is the first, there'll be some treat boxes to come too soon:)

When I got the dt position with Elaine at Quixotic Paperie she sent some assorted goodies and for my paper selection she sent me the ATD Premium Trick and Treats Halloween papers and I've been dying to use them! Now, I am a bit of a Halloween collector in terms of papers and stamps and general loveliness so have seen and had my fair share of Hallowen papers but believe me these surpass them all! They're all foiled and just generally gorgeous! I would totally recommend getting some, then see if you can bear to cut into them! hehehe. So, as you've gathered all the papers used on my Halloween card are the ATD ones. Whilst having a little spree at Quixotic over the weekend I just couldn't resist this CC Designs Ollie and Griselda stamp set, and when they arrived was proper impressed with the size of the stamps, and there's loads in there too! I just had to use the witch's boots first with the matching sentiment, and stamped the boots out twice so I could pop them up with some silicone glue.

I've not used a sketch or anything for my layout on this card, seem to be having a bit of problem sticking to them on the last few cards! But, I am going to enter this over at Creative Inspirations where the theme is Autumn/Fall since Halloween fits in with the season as well as the Creative Belli Challenge (totally new to me-love finding new challenge blogs!) who want to see Fall or Halloween makes. Am also entering this card over at Paper Blooms (another new challenge to me!) who want to see bling.

Stuff: Witch's boots stamp and sentiment from CC Designs Ollie and Griselda set from here, ATD Foiled and Glittered Halloween papers from here, pumpkin charm from here, silver cord from here, core'dinations black magic cardstock, copic ciao and sketch to colour, distress inks in milled lavendar and dusty concord, button from stash, bling from here, distressing tool.

Thanks so much for popping by today and any comments you might leave me-they make my day! Sleep tight xxx
