Where did the time go?

It feels like ages since I last blogged, and in fact it Is ages! But I'm finally back working on my shop with Ian and feel like I'm back in the land of the living now that my little girl has now started nursery.

Since I last blogged we have had a new addition to our family-Isis Rose who is now 2 years old. Her and Leo are adorable together! It has been a bit of a rough ride though and getting back to work has taken longer than usual. Isis was born with congenital heart disease, a particular defect called pulmonary stenosis and it wasn't discovered until she came down with a cold at 2 weeks old and during the check up my GP heard her very loud heart murmur and we got sent for tests. Ultimately she had to have heart surgery at 10 weeks to reduce the narrowing in her heart and it did work to the extent that if she hadn't of had it within a month or so she would have died and it has opened the valve up somewhat but unfortunately it isn't a total 'fix'. This pic of her was a few weeks after her operation.
She still has her heart problem which she will always have and we have regular check ups to see how the heart is functioning etc. and she could well have more heart surgery in the future. Her heart problem has also meant she has been poorly a lot and takes longer to recover than other children, and we just have to be really careful to watch how she is when she's poorly because things could worsen very quickly. There are lots of other elements to it but safe to say things have been difficult.

We are lucky though, there are so many other children with problems worse than her. The hospitals have all been great. All you can do is try and live in the moment as much as possible and get on with things.

It feels great now to be able to work on my shop etc and do something for me. I've started making some new bits and bobs. I really want to extend our Wizard of Oz section. So far I've managed to make this set of Wizard of Oz bookmarks.
I'm looking forward to getting back to blogging-we might go in slightly a different direction but I hope you'll come along with me:)

Also I'm on Instagram now so if you want to follow me there I'd love it and I will follow you back too! http://instagram.com/craftypagan

And here's my creation:

I was so excited when I got sent this adorable image called Wish Upon A Star! How cute! So fun to colour too! I used my copics to colour her in. All the papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery, and I used a couple of punches to make the flowers and swirls! The layout is courtesy of the fab sketch at Card Patterns. Wouldn't she perfect on a wall hanging/door hanger in a little girls bedroom?!

Well Thank's so much for joining us on the hop and stopping by my blog! I can't wait to see what everyone else has created! Your next stop is

Sweet Baby Blessings

Evening guys! How's everyone doing? Good I hope! We've having a bit of snow here the past few days, when's it gonna be Spring!?! Have really had enough of the cold stuff now! Am soooo ready for Sunshine!

Today I've got this quite simple baby card to show ya using the gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp 'Vintage Baby', the baby collection by Sugar Nellie really is fab, something for all babies and toddlers. I've also got hold of the new Diane Duda digi stamps which will be available to buy soon and oh my they are soooo fabulous! There are such fun boy stamps in there, totally different from any of the others! Can't wait to get colouring with them! Anyways...I went off a bit there!

For the layout I was inspired by the uber talented Elaine. I love how clean her cards are, and her colouring is always so amazing, am definitely not in her colouring league but I think this layout works well for this baby card! I've used the fab MME Star Bright paper pack which you can buyhere. On the cloud I used some Shimmerz Paints in Pixie Dust (on sale as well atm!) which you can see better in this close-up:~

Am going to enter this into the following challenges:

A Special Arrival

Evening all! Today's card is for my good friend Eliane, who I lived with at Uni, and she's just given birth to a baby girl! So huge congrats to Eliane and Greg! Can't wait to see the pics! I've gone for a bit of a different colour scheme from the usual pink, and chose purples, green and brown, and they go quite well together me thinks! Must say I am soooo glad I bought this Whiff of Joy stamp when the collection came out cos it's had a fair amount of use-more than I thought! Will get much more too as quite a few friends are pregnant at the moment! Awww I want another!

Stuff: Whiff of Joy stamp by Elisabeth Bell coloured with copic ciaos and sketch pens, Basic grey Wisteria papers, core'dinations cardstock, SU cardstock in choc chip, sewing machine, pearls from stash, pins (how beautiful is that big fancy one!) from Quixotic Paperie here, nestability label die, lace from here, lilac organza ribbon from stash, pokey tool for paper piercing around nestie frame.

I'm going to enter this over at Cafe Mojo (been too long since I played over there-hello Mavens!) as their theme is a momentous occasion as a new arrival certainly is that! Here's a little close-up of the main image:~
That's all from my tonight, I'll be back tomorrow with my Stamp Something DT project. Thanks for popping by and any comments you might leave! Sleep tight xxx
