Whimsy New Digital Release

Evening all! Today brings a fabulous new Digital Release from Whimsy! They are so fab! There are 2 fun activities going on to showcase the images that you can get involved in. There's the Blog Hop Release, if you want to join in and have a chance at winning some candy too pop along to the beginning here. My team is part of the Whimsy Challenge where we've all followed a fab sketch and each chosen one of the new images to work with. You can join in too using the sketch and have a go at winning 5 images of your choice-what a fab prize!

I decided to use Crissy's adorable new 'Trimming the Tree image-how cute! It was a total join to colour in, as are all of Crissy's images! The fab thing is, as it's digi, you can start colouring right away! I've actually used some of my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper which I got last year and never ended up using, I do like this colour scheme though! I also added some punched snowflakes which have been painted with Shimmerz in Pixie Dust and some organza ribbon. The sentiment is from one of Ann's new digital sentiment collections which you can find here-that girls is such a star-I love all her wordart!

Ooo before I forget I wanted to tell you about some fab watermarks and signatures that are now available at Whimsy here, I've had lots of emails in the past asking about help on this so I think this is such a fab idea!

Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy Digital Release Blog Hop!

Afternoon all! Hope you're enjoying yourself on the blog hop checking out all the fab creations featuring the New Whimsy Digital Designs!

If you've come from Patricia, your on the right track, if not head to the start at Denise's blog! Along with the blog-which you'll be pleased to hear is not as long-there is a Whimsy digi challenge which you can find here on the Whimsy Inspirations blog.

For this new release we at Whimsy are also welcoming a brand new designer called Melissa Jenkins-her new digi releases are available here-aren't they just fab! There's also new sentiments by Ann , ad a brand new Emma. But today, as you can see, I'm showcasing one of Crissy's new digital designs-called Gracie's Roses-I absolutely love her! She's so vintage and sweet looking isn't she!

Here's a close-up:~ Gracie has been coloured with copics, stickles added to her roses, and antique linen distress ink sponged around the edges of the image.

I used some more gorgeous Tim Holtz Papers available from Quixotic Paperie here, Shimmerz around the edges, yummy lace and my retro punches:) I've also followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash. For anyone that's interested this card is available for purchase in my etsy shop:)

Don't forget to leave a comment at the end of this post for a chance at winning one of the fab prizes on offer from Whimsy! Your next stop on the hop is Sue!

Whimsy Digital Stamps Blog Hop-New Release!

Good afternoon everyone! Welcome to the Whimsy Digital Stamp Release Blog Hop! The new Whimsy digital stamp release is utterly fabulous and has exclusive designs by Crissy Armstrong, Katie Sowa and our own Ann Vento. If you've come from Ann's blog you're on the right track-if not then you'll want to start at the beginning at Crissy's blog! If you leave a comment at each stop you could win an awesome candy prize of a $15 certificate to the Whimsy store, Crissy's digital 'Pebbles the cat', Katies digi 'Aww so Tweet', Ann's Mothers Day sentiment and the Whimsy Princess Coach in digi. Fab prize isn't it!

So anyways, today I'm showcasing Crissy's fab turtle digi stamp called Hang in there-too cute right?! Such fun to colour too!

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Angels-Favourite things (flowers, stitching and the DCWV papers)
TSG-colour combo of lemon yellow, grass gren and aqua
Papercutz-3 patterned papers
Gingersnap Creations-the good earth
Simon Says-Card for a child
Magical Crafts-Animal Antics

All the papers I've used are DCWv The Green Stack (one of my faves!) and the cutie turtle is coloured with copics. The sentiment is from Ann's new digi sentiments which match the images perfectly! You can purchase all the new Whimsy digi's here, you'll get them. I'm personally not a big digi user but believe me when I say these are so super easy to use and resize, you'll get them in a zip file in 3 formats and are available instantly after purchase! Here's an image close-up:~

Don't forget to leave a comment before you hop along to the next stop which is Erin-have fun and good luck with the candy prize! If you don't win the candy treat yourself to some of the Whimsy digi stamps anyways! Thanks for popping by!

To err is human to purr is feline...Sneak Peek

That's a good quote isn't it! You've probably seen recently that Whimsy rubber stamps are adding a digital line to their collection? Well if you didn't then you can look forward to a week of sneak peeks from the Design Team (see my side panel for links) this week-the images are all fantastic and so in the Whimsy style! I had to use this beautiful kitty first! She's called Pebbles the cat and has been designed by Crissy Armstrong. This image isn't available to buy yet, but will be next Monday 12th April! The sentiment is also going to be available for purchase as part of the new digital line and all the sentiments are by our very own Ann.

Since this kitty is such a princess I had to go all pretty and pink! The papers are MME laundry line which are glittered and have also used Bazzill bling. This totally fits the Stamp Something theme this week as well as Sophisticats (raining cats and dogs), Charisma Cardz (animal magic) and Pollycraft (anything goes).
Here'a kitty close-up:~
For the layout I rotated the fab sketch over at Create 4 Fun. Well I think that's all from me today, keep your eyes peeled for more sneak peeks and I'll be back soon:) Thanks so much for popping by and for any comments you might leave!

I'll be popping this card into my etsy shop shortly;)
