Stamp Something-Paper Pieced Somethings...DT Card

Good afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is having a fab Friday! Today is my first week as a Stamp Something member and the challenge this week is a really fun one...Paper Piecing. The sponsor this week is Whiff Of Joy and who wouldn't want to win a lovely stamp from them, so you best get paper piecing! I actually inked up this little lovely after months of neglect from me-naughty Rowena! She is a sweetie isn't she?! For my paper piecing I actually only did 2 small sections which are her head band and scrunchie which have been pieced with the same paper I've used on the back layer of my card.

Stuff: Whiff of Joy image coloured with promarkers, K and Co papers from Classic Collection boxset, core'dinations cardstock, distressing tool (but you can achieve the same effect with scissors), files to distress the papers, sizzix die for tag pocket, raffia from stash, prima flowers, distress inks in tea dye and vintage photo, hatpin from ebay.

You must pop over to the Stamp Something challenge blog and take a look at all the gorgeous dt cards! Thank you for popping by today and for any comments you might leave-they make my day! Huggles xxx

At last...

I'm back with something to show you, I missed everyone! I've been working on a coupla dt cards which is why I've been away a couple of days....there'll probably be a flurry of posts from me soon hehe. Hows everyone doing? I've had a busy week...out and about, visitors, my niece coming to stay...lots going on...all fun things though!

My Magnolia Summer stamp kit arrived this week! Phew that was abit of a wait! So I had to ink this little cutie up first, I think she's my fave! I've used the sketch at The Pink Elephant, added lace which means it can be entered at Dutch Dare, Scrappy Frogs wanted to see a Magnolia stamp, and Colour Create has the theme of orange, pink and green, and Simon Says wanted to see distressing! I had to combine some challenges to catch up with what I've missed this week! Telling ya though, being on the dt for Pile It On kinda makes me want to combine all the time, it becomes a bit of a habit!

Stuff: Magnolia tilda summer kit coloured with copics, mme bloom and grow papers, bloom and grow decoupage pad, lace and bling from stash, core'dinations card, distress inks in antique linen and vintage photo, hero arts sentiment.

I really want to say thank you so much for all the lovely comments you've left me recently, your support really means a lot, truly....I need to come visit quite a lot of people soon...will catch up soon definetly!

I'll be back tomorrow for sure to show you my first dt card for Stamp Something so pop back see me won't you:) Love and huggles to all:)

Friday Sketchers

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fab weekend so far! Been nice weather here, was even quite decent on Friday when I went to the beach-we had just left to come home when it started with rain so we were fine. Leo had a great time!

I ordered a couple of Motivet stamps after seeing some of my blogging buddies beautiful creations-these stamps are really sweet, really good service too-arrived in 5 days! I just had to ink this little Doraline up first! This stamp is actually called 'sorry' but I think she looks quite bashful and shy so thought it would be a cute 'i love you' card:) I've used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and am also going to enter it at Creative Inspirations which would like to see distressing.

Stuff: Motivet stamp 'sorry' coloured with promarkers, k and co papers, nesties and cuttlebug, core'dinations card, tim holtz distressing tool, file to sand and scuff, distress inks in antique linen and vintage photo, crochet lace from market, hatpin from ebay.

Don't forget to enter my blog candy giveaway to win 5 sugarnellie stamps of your choice! Thanks for popping by and for any comments you might leave-they make my day!

A Gorjuss Simon Says Sketch

Good morning everyone! Firstly, thank you sooo much for the lovely words you've left me about my new design team position for Sugarnellie! I'm still on cloud 9!

Today I've got a Simonsays sketch entry for ya, with one of my fave gorjuss girlies-it's such a versatile image. I also saw recently on Suzanne's website (the super talented lady who designs all things gorjuss!) that a few really hardcore gorjuss fans had got this image tattooed on them, and lovely it looked too! Anyways...I've done a fair bit of distressing on this card with my distressing tool, but scissors can achieve the same effect. I've also done some more paper tearing-really into doing this atm!

Stuff: Sugarnellie stamp-Gorjuss girl coloured with Letraset Promarkers, all papers are k and co, distress inks (colours=vintage photo, antique linen), core'dinations cardstock, martha stewart heart punch, hero arts sentiment, prima flowers, buttons and pearls from elaine at quixotic (her service is outstanding btw), cuttlebug with nesties, raffia and crocheted lace from stash.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and its Friday so the weekend is nearly here-wahoo! I'm taking Leo to the beach today with my friend and little boy so should be lots of fun! Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might leave-they make my day!

P.S. To celebrate my design team position I'll be offering candy real soon!

My Dream Came True!

Y'know how I LOVE Sugarnellie right? Well as some or most of you know they were recently looking to add to their fabulous design team. I didn't think I'd get it, and the more people I saw/read who had applied during my blog visits the more I convinced I became I I wouldn't-the talent in blogland is amazing! But I couldn't not apply just in case, and I think everyone should follow their dreams. I only got emailed by Karen 2 days ago and I seriously couldn't believe my eyes! I am soooo thrilled you have no idea! Honestly, it was my dream to be on the Sugarnellie design team. If you pop to the Sugarnellie blog you can check out who else got picked-which must have been the most difficult job ever. Thanks so much to those who have popped by to say congrats, I know I get excited when anyone I know makes a dt! Will see you laters with a card. Lots of Love

Sugar Bowl Time Again!

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a lovely afternoon? Me and Leo have been to his little friends house which I look forward to as me and his mum get on so well. We're going to hopefully go (fingers crossed with the weather) on Friday to the beach all together. The kids are 2 months apart in age so it's great for them both bless em. I'm going to have some news for you soon, but atm I'm keeping quiet;)

So it's Sugarbowl time again, and you gotta see the prize! Have you seen Sugarnellie's new release? Ohhh they're sooo cute-they're the new manga stamps but they still have that same sugarnellie sweetness we all love. A joy to colour I'm sure, especially since our pens were made for manga artists. It's a fab sketch once again, and if you're not used to using sketches then this would be a great one to start playing with. The please include option this time is ribbons and bows-though I've used raffia and twine.

Stuff: Sugarnellie stamp-gorjuss girl set 3 coloured with Promarkers, distress inks, dcwv latte stack papers, core'dinations card, raffia and twine from local hardware store, prima flowers, buttons from stash, hero arts sentiment.

I've gone for paper tearing on this card and well, more distressing :) Hope you likey:) Thanks so much for popping by, please do leave me a little word or two so I know you've been-it makes my day and then I can come visit you back! Have a great evening. Huggles xxx

Summery Tilda and a few challenges

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I've gone all summery today and used this cutie Tilda and some gorgeous cherry papers to match her. The theme over at Simon Says Challenge this week is summer fruits or summer colours and since I still live in hope of winning a $25 shopping spree at their store I had to play along again! I've also followed the sketch at Pollycraft monday which has just opened their challenge blog to include any images *doesn't have any sweet pollycraft stamps to play with yet*, their theme is also food and drink and since this Tilda has cherries on her boots and I have some on the papers I think that qualifies! Over at our Creative Corner their challenge this week is called 'triple play' and they give you a list of embellies to pick 3 from-I've chose buttons, ribbon (raffia) and bling. Also...Just Magnolia want us to use buttons. Phew!

Stuff: Magnolia Tilda coloured with promarkers, hotp papers, core'dinations card, raffia and buttons from stash, prima flowers, sentiment from part of a forever friends stamp, prima bling, distress inks.

Leo's little backpack arrived yesterday and he spent a lot of the day carrying it round and putting stuff in it and zipping it up-so sweet! I'll pop a proper pic up of him later when I've uploaded em as they're on me phone. I ordered a couple of Motivet stamps the other night-they're so adorable I just had to have some so hopefully they'll arrive soon! Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might leave me-they make my day! Huggles xxx

Baby Girl

Hi everyone, hope your week is getting off to a good start! Everyone is slowly getting better here so will probably be having another quiet day today but me and Leo have got some fun things planned later on in the week. I ordered him a cute elmo backpack and elmo toy the other day as he has this large tickle me elmo toy which he loves and he tries to carry him about but he's quite heavy so i think he'll love these newies, am hoping they arrive today or tomorrow-along with my bloomin Magnolia summer kit! I'll have to show you a pic of Leo with his new rucksack on, I think he'll look super cute!

Anyways...I have a card to tell ya about! I've made this card as a while back I mentioned that quite a few of my friends are preggers right now so am trying to get a few baby cards ready. It's such an exciting and special time when a new baby is born-I think these Elisabeth Bell images from whiff of joy convey the tenderness so perfectly. The challenge at Whiff of Joy this week is to use piercing on your creations so I've pierced around the nesties frame and the sentiment which I think is just perfect for baby cards. I've also followed the sketch at Stamp Something by Denise which is another fab one and really versatile too iykwim.

Stuff: Whiff of Joy stamp coloured with promarkers, nesties, cuttlebug, buttons and lace from stash, prima flowers, MME wild asparagus papers, 7gypsies paper, martha stewart doily lace punch, raffia, distress inks (antique linen and vintage photo), hero arts sentiment

Thanks for stopping by today and any comments you might leave-they make my day!

I know lots of peeps don't like making male cards but I really have lots of fun making em! The papers I've used are all Kaiserkraft-they're ideal for boy/teenage cards. Now that I've finished this I think I'm gonna have to sort my sewing machine out-ugh. Stuff: SugarNellie stamp-new Mary Hall collection coloured with Promarkers, Kaiserkraft papers, core'dinations cardstock, clear patterened strips from stash (I wish I knew who made these-I got em at a craft shop and chucked the box!), buttons from stash, raffia, dymo labelmaker.

It's an a3 Fiskars guillotine so pretty huge and super sharp-my old one was on its last legs! Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-they make my day! See yas tomorrow!
