Quixotic Paperie Spotlight Hop-Elisabeth Bell

Morning everyone! Thanks for stopping by, another fun hop for you today:)

Welcome to the Quixotic Paperie Elisabeth Bell SCACD Winter Window Spotlight Blog hop.

If you have landed here from JUDY then you are hoping in the right direction. If not then hop over to Elaine's blog Quixotic Cards to begin.

We have an extra special blog hop for you today. The Quixotic Paperie DT plus our very special guest the talented KimGruetzmacher (from Crafts By Kim and member of the Susana's Custom Art and Card DesignDesign Team) have all been playing with the lovely new Elisabeth Bell SCACD Winter Window Stamp to give you lots of ideas for your Winter makes.

But the reason why this is an extra special blog hop is that it is an introduction to our new once a month Quixotic Paperie Challenge which this month is:

Christmas Is Coming

Make a Christmas card and/or gift and join in the challenge see Quixotic Inspirations for all the details.

Inside View:

For my Quixotic Paperie Elisabeth Bell SCACD Winter Window make:

I had such fun with this image, it's such a classic Elisabeth Bell design don't you think? I coloured her in with my copics, and for all the snow I used my super favourite glitter pen by Viva Decor in Holo. Before I got these pens I was all, how can they be better than other ones-especially since I have every Stickles colour but these Viva Decor's are far superior! For one, they actually dry how you apply them-with dimension!! Also, when you use them with digital images they don't smear the ink! I also used the yummy new Cosmo Cricket papers in Mitten Weather-love em! The poinsettas I made using a Marriane D die, and then popped some Viva Decor Ruby Red glitter on some of the edges.

For UK/ EU customers this beautiful stamp is available at Quixotic Paperie. If you're in the US/Canada you can buy it direct from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.

You next stop on the hop is KIM-PaperBabe

Thanks very much for hoping by and enjoy the rest of the inspiration. Don't forget to join in on our new challenge...there is a fabulous prize up for grabs!

P.S. This card will be available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.

World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day! I actually can't believe it is that time again!!!

Celebrate World Card Making Day with a Festival of Favourites with the Quixotic Paperie Design Team!

The Quixotic Paperie DT thought it would be fun to mark this year's World Card Making Day with a mini blog hop looking at our favourite Quixotic Paperie DT projects, products from the shop and card making tips, so grab a cuppa and join us!

We would love to hear about your favourite projects, products from Quixotic Paperie or your favourite tips so feel free to share!

My favourite Quixotic Paperie make from this year has been this carousel I made much earlier in the year! The carousel showcases the fabulous Whimsy Spring Stepping horse. The Whimsy horses that are all stocked at Quixotic Paperie here have definitely been right up there with my fave releases this year!

Materials: Spring Stepping, vintage book pages, Shimmerz Spritz and Paints, and a bit of Perfect Pearls.

Here's some My Favourites!!!

My favourite Quixotic Paperie Products:

Stamps: Soooo hard to pick but all the Moonlight Whispers by Kraftin Kimmie have been so fab this year!

Paper: The New Memory Box range-right now I'm loving this BlackBird paper pack-perfect for Halloween makes!

My other favourites have most definetly been the gorgeous Lace and Ribbons Elaine always has in stock, I'm forever stocking up on lace and tulle! ooo and of course the new Viva Decor Glitters, Liners and Pearl Pens-totally replaced my Stickles these have-love em so much!!!

My favourite Tips:

My fave tip is to colour your images last-after the main part of your card is made so you know exactly what colours you're going to use! I always make my cards up in this order!

If you hop along to the following wonderful blogs, there's lots more to see and favourites being shared- hope you enjoy the hop!

Rowena - Crafty Pagan (You Are Here!)

Enjoy the hop and don't forget to share your favourites on your blog (link back to us so that we can see them) or in the comments as you hop around!

Have a wonderful day and hope you get some card making in!!!

Quixotic Challenges-Move It Move It!

Afternoon guys!! How's your weekend going? Everything's great here:) Had to come on and show you my DT card for Quixotic Challenges-was so fun to make-you'll have to go check out the other girlies work for the challenge-it's fab! So Kim (paperbabe) set the challenge this week and she chose 'move it, move it'-basically you need to have an element on your card that has movement-such as a tag you pull (like I did), a slider card, a spinner card etc:)

Last month I bought the fabulous Fred and Ginger stamp by Kraftin Kimmie and I've been eager to ink it up!! It also comes with a sentiment stamp that says 'love bites' hehehe. For my moving feature I added a pull out tag. The tag is actually one of my Vampire Blood tags available in My Etsy Shop. All the papers I used are Basic Grey Eerie from last year.

On the image after it had been coloured (with copics) I decided it needed something else so I popped some Crackle Accents on and went to bed. When I went to finish my card off I thought the crackle accents had gone off until after a while I realised I'd put matte accents all over it! Anyway I did a rescue by putting lots of rock candy crackle on:) Phew!

If you'd like to buy this card it is available Here.

Challenges Entered:

Shabby Tea Room: Tag You're It!

Sir Stampalot: Distress it

If you're after some new Christmas and Halloween goodies go check out all the fab new arrivals at Quixotic Paperie here.

Right, gonna go and crack on with some more work-thanks for stopping by!! Be back soon!!

Quixotic Challenges

Hi guys! Hope you're all well! I've been super duper busy with my Etsy shop as usual and blogging seems to have been totally neglected but I'm hoping from next week I'm going to get regular posts up! Thank you to everyone who still reads and stops by!

But today, I've got my Quixotic Challenges card to show you. This week Simonne picked the theme of black, white and one colour, so I chose sepia as my extra colour.

I used a Paper Make-up sentiment stamp-they do just the best range-this one is called 'when the world says give up'. I dug out my DCWV La Creme pack and got to work! I do love that DCWV stack-definetly one of my faves! I also added some stitching around the card.

I also added some flat backed pearls . Here's the front view.

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

Paperplay Challenges: real stitching
SimonSaysChallenge-Pearls and Lace (black pearls, doily lace punch)

I'll be back soon:)

Birthday Wishes with Whimsy!

Just a real quick post today, am super busy but really wanted to show you this card that I made last week that's been waiting to be posted! This was actually a custom order for a lady in My Etsy Shop as she just loves the Whimsy Carousel horses (also available direct from Whimsy here)-who can blame her eh?!!

I used the yummy Olivia papers by Basic Grey and coloured the image, called 'Wings of Hope' with my copics. The glitter on the wings is the fabby Viva Decor glitter liner in Silver-my Stickles have become redundant now I've found this stuff!

I'm going to enter this over at Creative Card Crew (cute and girly), and dutch dare (anything goes).

The yummy papers I used are all Echo Park 'A Walk In The Park'-really fun and bright papers! I also had to get my Viva Decor out again-I used the holo iridescent glitter. All the flowers are punched with my retro punches and the swirls are ek success.

Viva Blog Hop with Quixotic Paperie and SCACD

Good morning everyone!!! Fun post for you today-fab way to start a Friday! As you probably know there's been a recent new addition to Quixotic Paperie which is the Viva Decor product line. We have all fallen in love, and so, we're having a little blog hop to celebrate!

Joining the Quixotic Paperie Design Team on this hop we have the fantastic
Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Design Team! Susana is a good friend of Elaine's and SCACD has become like an international sister store to Quixotic Paperie! We're collaborating on some crafty adventures, and this is hopefully the first of many!

We hope you will join us on this hop and be inspired in ways to use the Viva Decor product range! You will also have the chance to win some fabulous candy - both Elaine and Susana will be giving away a pack of the most popular Viva Decor Pens (Ice White Pearl Pen, Holographic Glitter Liner and the Clear Gloss Gel Pen).

All you will have to do to win is answer a question at each store blog - 1 entry at each STORE blog per person please! Both blog candy draws will close on 31st July 2010.

In the UK/Europe you can find
Viva Decor products at Quixotic Paperie. If you're in the US/Canada then Susana carries the Viva Decor range at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.

Right then lets get going!

You should have hopped over here from
The SCACD Store Blog. If not, you might want to pop over to the Quixotic Paperie Store Blog and start from the beginning!

I decided for my make to have a play with the fab new Kraftin Kimmie stamp Arianna. Isn't she fab! I coloured her in with my copics and then applied the Viva Decor pens on top. I used the Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Ruby and Glitter Liner in Gold on her hair. I added some Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Silver to her fins and around the Tim Holtz ticket-love these! You can also buy the glitter liners from Susana Custom Art and Card Design here. After I coloured her and added all the glitter I realised I'd kinda coloured her to make her look like Ariel in the Little Mermaid:) The thing I love about these Viva Decor pens is that you can really add dimension with them-every other product I've used always dries flat but this just keeps its shape! Fab! The papers I used are all from the newly released Olivia Paper pad by Basic Grey.

For the layout I used the fab sketch over at Simon Says Stamp. Here's a little close-up:~

You can also find the stamp I used today at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design with all the other yummy Kraftin Kimmie stamps here.

Well that's it from me!

Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous Lori.
Have fun!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments you might leave!
