The Pink Elephant

Is it me or is it HOT? Phew! Aren't the Brits so funny with weather, we want sunshine when it's dreary then when we get it we think it's too hot! I guess its because we don't get much though! Looky what mr postie brough! That's right...my new woj stamps. They are by far the best wedding and baby collection ever, the images have such tenderness in them, I especially love the one I've used on my card, think it's my fave!

The challenge over at the Pink Elephant is to use your fave colour combo and right now I'm loving pink and blue. Also entering this at Charisma as my 3rd entry-you get 4 entries this week! I used my Basicgreys again, and not sure if you can see but I spritzed the flowers with craftynotions glimmer spray.

Stuff: Whiff of Joy stamp coloured in Promarkers, distress ink antique linen, core'dinations card, sewing machine, prima and kaiserkraft flowers, button and lace from stash, sentiment is hero arts.

I'll catch you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by and any comments you might leave. Huggles xxx

P.S. Is it me or is the Magnolia stamp club taking forever to come out?! When will it be?!

Piling it On!

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well today and having a happy day so far! The postie has just been and brought me my woj stamps, that is like speed of light delivery-I only ordered them Thursday afternoon. Fantastic service or what, can't wait to ink those little lovelies up!

Todays card is using the sketch at Truly Scrumptious, which is a really fab one-they also wanted us to use our unused stash. So ...I've used some Basic Grey boxer papers that I've had for ages and never used, and the buttons are like 2 years old and I've not used even one from the pack! I'm also entering this over at Pile it On who want to see at least 4 buttons, Charisma who have an open challenge of anything you like and the Crafty Pad who want to see buttons too! Phew!

Stuff: Sugar Nellie stamp (Mary Hall) coloured with Promarkers, Basic grey Boxer collection, Core'dinations card, sewing machine, buttons from stash, distress inks, distressing tool.

I just want to say thank you so much for the absolutely wonderful comments I've been left recently-they really mean a lot to me, and I know it shouldn't matter and that the main thing is I enjoy what I do but it's really nice to have validation that you like my work! I was so made up at having got the top 3 at Pile it On yesterday-I've never got anything like that before! Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment if you're popping by so I can come visit you too! Huggles xxx

Matching Pillow Box

I decided tonight to make a little pillow box to match the card from yesterday. These are such quick little gift boxes, there's lots of tutorials on splitcoaststampers on how to, I just can't find the linky right now! They're ideal to pop a gift voucher in, some sweets, a silk scarf, but I think this one shall end up with seeds in to go with the card:) I'm entering in again at Pile it On for purple and Creative Inspirations which is anything but a card. I've kept the box quite simple but I think it's 'enough' iykwim:)

Stuff I used: dcwv metallic stack, prima flowers, papermania brads, lace from stash, basic grey wisteria paper. For card 'stuff' see previous post.

Have had a fun day today, this morning I took Leo to a new toddler group and met a really nice lady there and Leo absolutely loved it. Then this afternoon mum brought a sandpit home, you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get hold of one right now, everyone has sold out! So Leo was a happy chappy playing the sand this afternoon with his spade. Lisa also made me my very own personalised banner! Am thrilled with it! Looks soooo cool don't you think?! Huge huge thanks to Lisa for that! Hope everyone else has had a good day too and wohooooo it's the weekend! Catch you all tomorrow!

I've just recently discovered this new blog and so far am lovin it, and their little logo is an ice-cream-yum! Double Dutch....

Evening everyone! What lovely weather we're having still, hope everyone has had chance to enjoy some sunshine:) Todays card is for Double Dutch which challenged everyone to make a monotone something so my colour choice was brown. I've also used a new SugarNellie stamp which is from Diana Duda's new collection, this little luv is called 'curtsy'. I've actually done some paper piecing on her dress, I used a page from a really really old book that was going to go to a car boot sale or charity shop. I had to add some vintage photo distress ink though;) Over at allsorts this week they want to see wings in projects so shall be entering over there too.

Stuff I used: SugarNellie stamp 'curtsy' coloured in distress inks with a sepia tint applied on top, sepia and crackle accents, grungeboard elements-wings (tim holtz), adage ticket (tim holtz), distress inks in vintage photo, old paper, tea dye, brushed corduroy, faded jeans, papermania regency paperpad, papermania simply elegant paper, page from old book, distressing tool, sanding files, core'dinations cardstock, lace, button and pin from stash, and raffia

Stamp Something Tim Holtz stylee

Afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is well today! Lovely weather still isn't it, little Leo is toddling around in his shorts and vest-he looks soooo cute!

Over at Stamp Something this week the challenge is Black, white and one colour. My colour option is green as you can see. Lots of fun making this-i do so love my Tim Holtz products:) The backing paper is actually newspaper-I found an old newspaper online which I printed out, sponged some distress inks (vintage photo and tea dye) on it then stamped in distress ink (peeled paint) a Tim Holtz harlequin stamp all over. The main image is another Tim Holtz stamp which I stamped in distress ink black soot then cut out-how cool is the image! I got me dymo label maker out again-I saw an article recently in the new scrapbook inspirations mag about this cool little tool and apparently there's a whole website dedicated to label art so I am gonna check that out soon and give some new techniques a try using different materials instead of the traditional label materials. Here's my list of materials:

Stuff I used: Tim holtz stamps 'dream a little dream' and 'harlequin', distress inks in black soot, peeled paint, tea dye and vintage photo, raffia, papermania regency pack, core'dinations cardstock, distressing tool by tim holtz, sanding files, star brads from stash, dymo label maker, nesties, embossing folder and cuttlebug.

Hope you likey! Thanks for stopping by and any comments you might leave-they make my day and well they let me know you've visited so I can visit you back!

Playing in The Sugar Bowl

Hello friends, what a glorious day! How beautiful is the weather! I've received some lovely award recently that I haven't yet posted but shall do tomorrow, sorry for the lateness of that for those that have given them, I really appreicate them and that you thought of me.

Onto the card! It's Sugar Bowl time again....my fave! I've used my Leanne Ellis stamp that I won but haven't inked up yet as I was waiting to find some papers I liked for her, which I did yesterday. I'm really happy how it's turned out, I absolutely love this style and this little lady just sums it all up perfectly I think. The please include option was 'kraft' actual or colour so I've gone with colour since I don't have any. I think Lilian's sketch is fab, and the prize you can win is the set 3 of the gorjuss girls so you should definetly enter. They always give the best prizes over there:) I used quite a few Tim Holtz products, I coloured with distress inks and I also used a Tim Holtz Mask which is how I achieved the clock and cog-the ink colour I used was black soot (sponged). I would really recommend the masks if you fancy something different-they are big enough to use on your scrapbook pages too:) Here's the full list of what I used:

Materials: SugarNellie stamp (Leanne Ellis) coloured with Distress inks (brushed corduroy, walnut stain, pine needles, black soot, tattered rose, peeled paint). K and Co paper, core'dinations card, PM paper regency, cuttlebug with nesties and embossing folder, raffia, buttons from stash, prima flowers, tim holtz mask with distress ink black soot for the cog and clock.

Thanks for stopping by and any comments you might leave for me-they make my day!

P.S Lelia asked how I achieve the 'highlights' around the cardstock edges-all I do is use core'dinations card which I sand around the edges and then distress using a Tim Holtz distressing tool-then thats the effect! Hope that helps!

Hi everyone, hope everyone's had a good day, even if it is Monday:)

Don't you just love this image? Looky at all the yummy strawberries. Unfortunetly I don't actually have these stamps, they were very kindly stamped up by Coco as part of a goodie bag I won:) So this card challenge is for Sketch Saturday, I really love this layout, very different from my usuals I pick. I'm also entering it over at Charisma Cardz as their theme this week is 'diamonds'. The papers are all BasicGrey again from the cupcake collection-I love the strong tones in this pack. Here's the bits I used:

Materials: Basic Grey cupcake papers and core'dinations card, woj stamp summer 09 collection coloured with promarkers, raffia, scallop template, bling from stash, woj sentiment.

Did a spot of craft shopping today, got some new papers and a pot of prima flowers, they just jumped right into my basket:) Ooo did you see/hear that the new Gorjuss girls set 3 are going to be released soon? Hands up who's getting em? I have sets 1 and 2 so I might just have to treat myself:) I'm hoping there's a witchy gorjuss girl in this new collection:) Hope everyone has had a good day, even if it is Monday:)

Simon Says...Happy Birthday!

Over at Simon Says Stamp they're celebrating their Birthday so asked us to make birthday cards. There's a fun blog hop going on too with goodies so pop on over. I've used this cutie SugarNellie stamp by Mary Hall-how sweet is she holding the tray of cupcakes?! Those cupcakes look sooo yummy right now. I've been at the BasicGrey Bittersweet papers again too-but I do so love them! I think this little lady is really versatile-I was either going to go with bright fun colours or sweet pinky ones but the pinks won:) Here's what I used:

Materials: Sugarnellie stamp coloured with promarkers, BasicGrey Bittersweet papers, core'dinations cardstock, tim holtz distressing tool, sanding file, lace from stash, prima flowers, pm brads, whiff of joy sentiment

Hope everyone's having a lovely day so far:) Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave-they make my day!

As she also comes with the little princess kitty it's like a 2 in 1 as you can use them together or seperately! I've coloured her in Promarkers and also added a tint to her to make her a bit extra rosy:) When I first saw this little lovely I decided I was either going to go with lovely bright papers or girly/romantic ones but I chose to go bright and colourful. Afternoon everyone! I think this may well be my last post before I go off on my hols on Saturday morning. I am gonna miss everyone! Will definetly miss my crafting but am super excited to go. Maybe I'll take some images to colour;)

Well onto todays project. The theme over at Colour Create is blush pink, lilac and mossy green. The added extra is to include die cuts but I haven't done that am afraid. As you can see I've made a book....am pleased as punch with myself as my mum got me a bind it all and this was my first go and it came it perfect! I love that little binder! This is for a pressie for someone so have kept it fairly simple on the front cover as she is defo a less is more person. The image is whiff of joy, but not mine I might add, it came from Coco, who is just the sweetest person ever! I won her blog candy last week and there was tons of images in the most beautiful folder she'd made. I love it! So here's the bits I've used:

Hi everyone....Haven't posted for a couple of days as have been finishing Father's Day stuff and working on my card for the SugarNellie bloghop! If anyone knows how to schedule posts on blogger can you tell me how or point me in the right direction!

Well todays card is for the Secret Crafter and they would like to some bling! Thought I'd use another Miss Anya, it's not right to keep her all tucked away in my stamp storage! Midnight Madness Sketch....A Fathers Day Card

Hello lovely crafty friends! Are you having a lovely weekend? I've had a lovely crafting day as Ian as had a rare Saturday off and since we're saving for our holiday (this time next week we'll be in Whitby!) we've had a quiet day:) Well I have, Ian and Leo went to Tesco and then to a country wildlife reserve type place. I have 3 Fathers Day cards to make (one for Ian from leo, my dad and Ian's dad) so I thought I best get cracking!

The layout is from a sketch over at Midnight madness, I think I'll be using this again! They do have fab prizes so you should definetly go check it out! I've used some basic Grey archaic papers and some good ole core'dinations card. The stamp is a new one I got and haven't used yet by Sugar Nellie-isn't the little boy so cute! It reminds me of Leo when he 'paints'!

Materials: Sugar Nellie stamp (country cousins range) coloured with Promarkers, Basic Grey papers 'Archaic', core'dinations cardstock, brad from stash, BoBunny ribbon, clear tape printed with stars from stash (got it at a show ages ago and totally can't remember who makes it), dymo label maker for text, brad from stash.

Have a lovely evening! Thanks for stopping by, hope you like my card! I love reading any comments you leave so please do, then I can come visit you too!

Pink and Brown the distressed way and bloghop news

This yummy colour combo is the challenge over at Charisma cardz this week. I thought I'd do it abit differently though and use lots of my distress inks to give it a different look. I've also added a sepia tint to Annie for something abit fun! All the papers which are doodlebug are gorgeous but all quite bright so I smeared and blended my inks over them (oo and I crumpled em up first) and did lots of distressing to the edges of paper/card. The lace I had was also white which just plain looked odd with the rest of the card so I got my craftynotions mists out and sprayed it-in real life it looks really pretty because you can see lots of gold mica pigments glittering away on top of the deep pink:)

Materials: Sugar Nellie stamp (by Leanne Ellis) coloured with distress inks, core'dinations cardstock, doodlebug papers (lovespell), distress inks in walnut-frayed burlap-teadye-vintage photo-worn lipstick-tattered rose-shabby shutters-scattered straw, doodlebug button, craftynotions sprays in cherrylicious and antique gold, ranger sepia tint, prima flowers, papermania brads, crocheted lace, elusive images sentiment stamp.

Yesterday my new Sugar Nellie stamp arrived by Diane Duda who is a brand new designer over at the house of sugar. I am taking part in a blog hop on the 19th June (with 15 others) to feature a creation using the new Diane Duda stamps which will be released soon. I only just noticed though I am away that week on holiday at Whitby so I will have to schedule my blog post and catch up with everything on the 20th when I get back. It's going to be lots of fun though:)

Thanks for stopping by, and for any comments you might leave-I love reading them and really appreciate your feedback!

Simon Says Tim Holtz and Stamp with Fun-Not a Card!

A really fun project to show you today! I went mental with my distress inks and all my fun things that are tim holtz! I made this box from a SplitCoastStampers tutorial here. If you haven't been over there you really should, their forums are just jam packed with super cool stamping stuff! Even if you're not good at making boxes and bags and stuff I promise you'll find this easy. I'm entering this over at the Simon Says Challenge (use any Tim Holtz products) and the Stamp with Fun (not a card). I used about 5 stamps on this box only one of which wasn't Tim Holtz-and I've used a ton of distress inks:). Just to clarify ALL the images you can see have been stamped! For the filler inside I used rafia and outside to tie I used some twine. I was gonna use this as a gift box but I've decided to keep it:) It's an ideal little gift box though isn't it! So here's what I used:

Materials: Basic Grey cardstock 12 x 12 urban prairie, chipboard, distress inks in peeled paint-tattered rose-walnut stain-black soot-tea dye, Tim Holtz stamps, hero arts french letter background stamp, raffia and twine from hardware shop.

Hope everyones had a lovely day! Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave which truly make my day to hear your feedback! See yas tomorrow!

Hello lovely crafty friends! Another beautiful day! though I hear that'll be changing...:( today's card is for Sketch Saturday-they're celebrating their birthday and there's tons of fab goodies:) I've changed some bits and bobs on the sketch, I've rotated it and resized some of the elements and moved the sentiment a little. It's my Miss Anya's first outing! I enjoyed using green so much yesterday I decided to add it in again, is funny since I don't usually go for any greens at all. I think this is my fave miss anya-her curly hair is so cool! So here's what I used:

Materials: Miss Anya-The Greeting Farm coloured with Promarkers, Tim holtz distressing tool, distress inks in weathered wood-peeled paint-milled lavender, Nestibilities scalloped oval, Tim Holtz adage tickets, stapler, Papermania brads, SU ribbon, Core-dinations cardstock, ShabbyPrincess download papers and Prima flowers.

I hope you likey:) Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave-I really appreciate them.

Mojo Monday

Hello lovely crafty friends! What fantastic weather we're having! I do love a bit of sun-getting a bit of a tan as well:) Well today is Monday so that means it's Mojo time! I do so love their sketches! This week it was quite a simple one-but in a good way, got to say though I felt a bit out of my comfort zone at some points as it has much less layers than I've been using recently. I really am pleased with the finished result though as it's so different from the last 10 or so cards I've made. I was going to post last night but I had an urge to make some little boxes to put brads and buttons in, they've turned out really cute:)

I made the flower as a diy lollipop flower and I used some craftynotions glimmer mist which was fun to add the green shimmer and popped a touch of fireburst violet on too.

Materials: Sugar Nellie stamp 'windswept' coloured with Promarkers, Basic Grey Wisteria papers, Craftynotions pigment spray in green lustre and fireburst violet, pearls from stash, SU ribbon, The Artistic Stamper sentiment, Core'dinations cardstock.

Hope you likey:) thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave-I really appreciate your feedback! Ta ta.
