Truly Scrumptious Challenge

Todays card is for the Truly Scrumptious challenge-I only just realised that last week I forgot to do the theme and had just done the sketch-what a wally! This time I have definetly done both-which was a sketch with the extra theme of 'good enough to eat'. I just had to get the Magnolia Love Muffin out again for this-it's such a lush image! I used ccsr big one, bazill swiss dots cardstock, dcwv teen stack, k and co metal charm and hot pink celebration ribbon. I was going to post my Just Magnolia card but to be honest am not keen on it, I really struggled with the pink and green theme (am not feeling the greens atm lol) so I think it's gonna get pulled apart and recycled instead. Am feeling a bit tired tonight so I am off for an earlyish night (early for me anyways). See yas tomorrow.

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Found Our Creative Corner challenge blog this week and the theme this time is to design something with your fave colour combination. At the moment I am lovin coffee and cream colours with a dash of pink! I think these colours always make a card look really luxurious don't you? And...they're very comforting, makes me think of snuggling up with a duvet, some hot chocolate and a box of choccies. This is something I dream about now that I have a little one! I would LOVE a duvet day-bliss!!

Anyways....I used a new alota stamp which I won on ebay in a set of 4, they are sooooooo cute-I love this little girls' face. The image is fab to colour so I really enjoyed making this. The bits and bobs I used are: my promarkers to colour, bazill swiss dot cardstock in cream, dcwv metallic stack, anitas everyday ribbon, daisy and dandelion backing papers and the sentiment is from a sentiment plate by elusive images.

I just wanted to say thank you so much to my 'followers' and for all the encouraging comments you've left, it really means a lot!

Sugar Bowl Challenge

This time over at the Sugar Bowl (which is defo my fave challenge blog-just love love love those sweet stamps) the theme is to make a mens card for any age! Quite a toughie but really enjoyed it. I made this card for my husband as it is his Birthday this month-hope he likes it! I went to town on the distressing-which was really fun!

Before I get to the ingredients here's a question-When you craft do you listen to music, enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the tv, or something else?I listen to audio books usually when I craft or music-am on Terry Pratchetts Mort right now-am just getting into his books so haven't heard many.

On this card I used mainly dcwv rockstar stack, core-dinations card, coloured with promarkers, brads were doodlebug and HOTP, also used some jute, the sentiment is from penny black t for transparency. Hope you have a fab day everyone. xxx

Whiff of Joy

This is my first Whiff of Joy Card ever!! I got 2 of their stamps over the weekend and I love them, they're a dream to colour. So, this card is for the Whiff of Joy challenge which is a sketch this week, a lovely layout it is too! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, we did here. I was rather getting used to the beautiful sunshine and then today it's been dreary all day which is a shame because Leo loves playing in the garden with me and he's been rattling the door keys all day to go outside! Bless. We did go to town to do some bits and bobs but its clearly not as fun as diggers in the garden.

Anyways, the card is made from: dcwv teen prints stack, dcwv metallic, ccsr the big one paper, promarkers to colour image, anitas everyday ribbon, prima flowers, doodlebug mini brads, and the sentiment is a hero arts stamp that I masked to remove the border. Hope you likey. If you're stopping by please do say hi, I love reading your comments!

Cupcake Craft Challenge

Found the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog a few weeks ago but haven't managed to have a go before now. I've made this card with a pagan/wiccan theme for something different and thought it might go to one of my pagan friends. It is also the first outing for my new gorjuss girl!!! Isn't she lovely, I think this is my fave from the set actually.

On this card I used CCSR the big one paper, bazill cardstock, dcwv metallic stack, cherry pie art stamps for the pentagrams, gorjuss girl, dcwv ribbon, cherry pie art stamps for the sentiment too. I also distressed all the stamped images with distress inks, the colouring was with my promarkers (I love them so much). I hope you like it! Well I am off to bed soon so catch you all tomorrow, hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Truly Scrumptious and Some Sweet Post

Here is my challenge card for the Truly Scrumptious blog, which was a fab sketch. I used one of my new Tilda stamps and distressed her background, I'm not sure where or what the swirly card is, also used dcwv metallic stack, dcwv once upon a time, dcwv pearlised stack and prima sweet pea flowers with doodlebug mini brads, the sentiment is a k and co wedding rub on. Hope you like it!

My other news today is my gorjuss girls set 2 arrived today! Wohoo! In fact I am just between playing right now. AND mr postie brought me 2 whiff of joy stamps! I haven't got any of these but decided I'd treat meself from some ebay pennies-I got willow with cookies and a christmas one, can't wait to have a go with these too! Well I am gonna get back to crafting, have a lovely evening everyone whatever you're doing.

Colour Create and The Karma Award

Firstly, here's my card for this weeks Colour Create which was a gorgeous colour theme of black, white, pink with an optional extra of polka dots. This is only my second entry over there but it is definetly one of my fave blogs to visit and take part in! I've used CCSR The Big One, Doodlebug paper, dcwv rockstar stack, distress inks, gorjuss girl image coloured with promarkers, hearts from a sizzix die using dcwv blossoms and butterflies and ribbon from sillymonkeycrafts but don't think there was a brand. I loved colouring this gorjuss girl in, decided I'd make her really funky-and the pink in her hair with the black looks just like mine atm!

The Karma Award
:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award.

I received The Karma Award from my lovely blogging friend Lorraine!

Now I have to pass it it onto 8 others so here goes:

Cute Card Thursday

What a beautiful day! Again! I am so loving this weather, makes you feel wonderful, doesn't it? First I'll tell you my bit of news, our village shop bought 9 of my cards to sell! Wohoo, am well chuffed about that, and she actually bought them outright rather than stocking them and taking a cut! Also my hairdressers are having some too! All very nice and gives me a few extra pennies (goes towards funding my stamping habit!). Have had a busy few days with this and that but on to the card...

This card was made for Cute Card Thursday with my new magnolia stamps which arrived yesterday, love them soooo much, have wanted this flower box for ages! Am really pleased with it, I think the colours go really well. I used K and Co paper (rose one), CCSR The Big One (polka dots), dcwv metallic, prima flowers, and a K and Co rub on, brads are doodlebug.

I haven't posted since Sunday and thats because I've been trying to make a card from a sketch and I keep not being happy with it so have been faffing around for a couple of days, this happens to me once in a while where I just can't seem to get things 'to go', I think everyone does though don't they at some point?!

Oooo I got a parcel from Sillymonkeycrafts today, I've never used them before but I got some paypal money and decided I'd top up my promarkers from there, and guess what? In the parcel they also put a Cadbury's fudge bar in! LOVE it!!! How cool is that! Tis only a little thing but I thought it was a lovely touch! Will defo be buying from them again soon, they also do a rewards thing too which is good. Well I may be back later, you never know ; )

Stampavie DT Challenge

Stumbled across the stampavie dt challenge blog whilst blog hopping and thought I'd give it a whirl. The challenge was a lovely sketch and thought I'd use this lovely cutie dragon I gotrecently. I coloured him with distress inks, used dcwv rockstar stack, dcwv once upon a time stack, prima flowers with distressed edges (distress inks), papermania brads, ribbon and bow from stash. Really pleased with how this turned out, was my first go at colouring with distress inks.

It's been a lovely sunny day here, we went to a car boot sale this morning in the village and got a couple of bits for Leo, main thing being a plastic play table and chairs as he really loves colouring in with me in his little book and thought it would be quite nice for him to sit at a little desk :) Got them for £3 which is a proper bargain as they're in great condition and I've been looking around and the cheapest which was from tesco was £40 all in!! Might be back later with another card. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you like my card.

Just Magnolia Challenge

Well here's my card for the new Just Magnolia challenge. Remembered to pop it on my baby easel this time too. I used papers fro my stash, Crafty individuals backing paper springtime for the circle, tilda with baby tingla coloured with promarkers, papermania felt, craftynotions flowers, and  papermania brads. Forgot to say yesterday that I bought a copic pen to have a go with but found that the brush lines weren't invisible like with the promarkers so wasn't too impressed. Perhaps it was me though?! Been a quiet day today, well in that haven't been anywhere exciting, but Leo hasn't exactly been quiet as he's having trouble with teething atm. Bless him. I saw the new Magnolias released yesterday, the spring ones, they are gorgeous but the couple I was after have sold out! Will have to wait till next week and see who else gets them in stock as have only seen one online shop which was craftsulove. I really wanted the one with tilda holding the ladybug, sooo adorable. Well I'm going to go play in the craft room now Leo has gone to bed.

Pink and Purple Nellie for a friend

Hello all,

Got back at tea time today after terrible traffic on the A1, but we had a lovely time at my dads! Ooo the new Magnolia blog, has begun so I'll pop my card on tomorrow for that! What a fab prize they have too, not that I'm very lucky like that but it's just fun making the cards for the challenges, don't you think?! While we were in Darlington I managed to have a quick peek into The Art Shop which is heaven, loads of goodies in there, but only got a few bits as am saving for some Sugar Nellies which will be released soon. Talking of which, my pre-order of Gorjuss girls set 2 should be dropping through the post this week. Ooooo can't wait for those lovelies!

Well todays card is for a friend which shall be winging its way tomorrow with some bits. It's a bazill polka dot card, basic grey paper (can't remember which pack), ccsr flowers, hero arts sentiment, handmade scallop, leanne ellis sugar nellie stamp (is she a cutie?!) and papermania brads. Hope you likey. Night night.

Sketch Saturday and Charisma Cardz

This is going to be my last post till Friday evening as we're going to visit my dad in Darlington till then which will be lovely. Little Leo had some jabs today and he's been feeling grisly this evening bless him, but he was so brave at the drs!

Todays card is for Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it over at Charisma as their theme this week is purple and green. I am so loving purple right now but I'm running out of purple papers now! I used a sugar nellie stamp called Choose, Basic Grey papers, Bazzill Basic paper (purple dotty), and Ki Memories lace cardstock called bouquet. The lace cardstock was one of the goodies mr postie brought me this morning and it's something I've been after for ages but I spotted on sale last week at craftsulove and it just jumped into my shopping basket. *loves a bargain*

Well I am going to pop off now and watch the Apprentice!!! Love that show! Thanks everyone for leaving me such lovely comments recently, it's so nice of you all. Lorraine you are a real sweetie, and your card shall be in the post for you over the weekend! Have a lovely evening everyone.

Oooo I got an Award!!!!

How exciting! The lovely Tracey has given me this award, go check out her work, it's gorgeous! Well, I'm going to have to have a think on who to pass it on to so will update this but the First person is definetly Coldwaters.

Coldwaters (Lorraine) is a lovely lady and she makes gorgeous cards, I love reading her posts so go looky at her blog! You have to pass this onto 5 others Lorraine! Well I'll be popping back later with a card.

Cute Card Thursday meets Colour Create

Here is my card for cute card thursday which had the yummy theme of chocolate and marshmallows (drooling here). When I look at this card it makes me want some, am really pleased with how it turned out in the end, took a while actually as I originally had a different backing paper and just couldn't co ordinate it, when I eventually gave up with it and chose this one it was done in about half an hour. I'm also entering this for Colour Create as I think it fits in with their colour scheme really nicely of chocolate, coffee and cream. For the card I used Magnolia stamp love muffin, daisy and dandelion backing paper, promarkers, hero arts stamp and papermania brads. Hope you like it! Well I'm off to the Post Office in a moment to send some bits and bobs. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

If you're stopping by please do take a moment to say hi and comment, it really is appreciated and I can come visit you too!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge!

Been a lovely quiet day today, even got to have a nap this afternoon as hubby was home to look after Leo, I absolutely love naps!

Well todays card is for Truly Scrumptious which was a sketch with the theme 'flower power', was really fun as I've not made a card similar to this layout before. I used a tilda stamp coloured with promarkers, dcwv metallic stack, dcwv pocket full of posies stack, organza ribbon (anitas), prima flowers and papermania brads. I thought it would make an ideal card for someone who was poorly so added a get well soon sentiment.

I'm eagerly anticipating the postman tomorrow, and well, all this week I suppose, can't wait for my new bits and bobs. Am off to bed soon so night night all.

Easter Wkend

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! Hope the Easter bunny has brought you lots of choccie too. We had a lovely today at a local farm park with Leo-he had so much fun. I loved all the animals, though a rather over enthusiastic donkey started nibbling my handbag-think he may have took a few sequins with him!

Well todays card is for Mojo Monday, which is a sketchie blog-am getting well into these now aren't I?! I used a gorjuss girl coloured with promarkers (the hair colour is modelled on mine hehe), dcwv rockstar stack, we r memory keepers glitter rub ons, prima flowers, papermania brads, ccsr stamp, and bo bunny ribbon. It was a really fun sketch to work with.

The only thing about Bank Holidays is no mail! I'm waiting for quite a few goodies to arrive, some lovely new stamps among them, argghhh I want them now! Thanks for stopping by!

SugarBowl Challenge

I hope everyone has had a lovely day today, hopefully you've had the day off! Ideally you've been crafting and eating yummy easter eggs (haven't started mine yet but been nibbling bits off hubby's hehe). Todays card is for The Sugar Bowl, my favourite challenge! It was a sketch this time, and I had lots of fun with it, was different for me as the sketch involved lots of layers but I'm quite pleased with the finished result. It's going to winging its way to a new friend tomorrow, hope she likes it.

For the card I used a Gorjuss girl stamp, Sandylion paper, dcwv metallic stack, rockstar stack, prima flowers, papermania brads, sizzix die cut, prima star stamps from build a swirl, distress inks oo and cosmo cricket fleuriste papers too.

Other news, I've pre ordered the gorjuss girls set 2-woohoo! Can't wait for those lovelies to get delivered! Well am off to do some more crafting, have a lovely evening and thanks for stopping by.

Moving in Together Card

My card today is for my step-brother and his lovely girlfriend who has just moved in with him. The stamp is a newie I got this week from a local craft shop and it's a Little Claire Designs. I just love those stamps, they're so cute. The flowers are from CCSR stamped onto vellum, CCSR papers, and Papermania brads, oh and the sentiment is Hero Arts. Hope they like it!

Busy day today shopping for Easter eggs then dropping them off for the kids, more postage and packing stuff for ebay (oh how I hate parcelling things up and going to the Post Office!) and then general housey stuff. I actually got some crafting done in the DAY today! Usually I have to wait til Leo is all snug in bed before I can really venture into the craft room and then I manage to get about 3 or 4 hours of crafting done till hubby comes home late from work. Today though hubby didn't start work until late and he minded Leo so I could have a day off. Lovely! And I got my lunch cooked for me!

I may well come back and pop another post on here tonight as I'm hoping to get a challenge card done, if not then have a lovely evening everyone!

More Daisy and Dandelions

Have had a funny crafting night and haven't quite finished the cards I've been making so thought I'd post the 2 cards I made as soon as the D and D stamps came out last month. It's my mum's birthday tomorrow, and I just treated her as a little extra to some Penny Black stamps, she is really into them atm, they are super cute though! Just a little post tonight as I need to catch up on the Apprentice!! Hope everyone has had a lovely day! I'm Easter egg shopping tomorrow, yum.

Easter Card no.1

Hmmm, did you know it's Easter soon? Yeah, so did I but it seems to have crept up on me and I haven't made my Easter cards or goodies, so this is my first one I got done tonight. I could end up sending loads but I'm going to keep it to just children or I'll still be doing them at Christmas! I made this card using the sketch over at Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog. My second sketch ever! Now that I've actually had a go, I really like them, it means you can concentrate on just making and what to use instead of adding where to put it all into the equation. For this card I used my Easter Tilda stamp, dcwv pocket full of posies cardstock, dcwv metallic stack, Papermania Easter stamp, promarkers, gems, dovecraft brads, Bo Bunny ribbon and Prima flowers, phew!

I had a lovely day today, the sun was shining, we went out for the day shopping and had a spot of lunch, and my new Magnolia love muffin stamp arrived-I love it!

Magnolia v Stampavie

My first Edwin card, isn't he a cutie?! This was also my first card following a sketch, which was for the Magnolia v Stampavie Challenge Blog! Sketches have always put me off before but I thought I'd give it a go for a change. It was actually easier in some ways since the layout was already set, I'll definetly do some more in future. I also did a lot of distressing on this card which was fun but is quite time consuming really, and then some of it got hidden!

I wish the sunshine would come back, have felt a bit down today, not sure why, but tomorrow is another day.

CCSR Make Your Own Flower's Challenge

This card is for the Stampin Chic Challenge for this weeks task of 'make your own flowers'. I used papers from CCSR The Big One, Papermania special glitter vellum, CCSR doodle stamps, sizzix flower die, cuttlebug alphabet, papermania vellums for the flowers. It was really fun making this as I didn't have a set idea how it would look and just 'played' really.

It's been another lovely day here, more garden fun with Leo, at this rate I'm going to actually get a tan by May! Hope everyones had a lovely weekend!

Daisy and Dandelion 2's Challenge

This is for the Daisy and Dandelion 2's challenge, using 2 papers, 2 flowers, 2 embellishments etc.
I used red cardstock, basic grey papers, heart brad from stash, flowers from Clare Curd's doodle stamps, Daisy and Dandelion stamps, coloured in with promarkers.

It's been a lovely afternoon here, spent playing in the garden with Leo, it's amazing seeing the world through his eyes when he touches flower petals, scrunches a leaf, squishes a berry. Really should do a few more scrapbook layouts with some photos I've got ready. Well am going to snuggle up next to hubby on the sofa now, enjoy your evening.

Cute Card Thursday

Here is my zesty citrusy card for Cute Card Thursday. Loved using these colours, makes you feel so cheery, ideal on a foggy murky day like we've had today.

Was in my lovely local craft shop today and the Clare Curd stamps are finally in stock!! I'd already got the sentiments and doodles as soon as they came out but couldn't get hold of the stampin chic and the blokey ones til today. Can't wait to use them now!

Think the new Sugar Nellie's will be on pre-order tomorrow.....ooo, shall have to have me some of those :)

Thanks for popping by looking at my card.
